Why mocking Palin will not work? because it's Obama and Co. that's on the run.

About a month ago I heard that Tina Fey was going to host the “Saturday Night Live” and reprise her role of Sarah Palin, my first though was how dumb and foolish and knew before it was going to air that it would fail to generate the same reaction of mockery and derision as it did in 2008 whether it was funny or not, because mockery is easy when things are not going so well for those being targeted, when Republicans are running away from the (R) behind their names, when it’s ‘Bush this, Bush that’, when an economic crash comes ‘unexpectedly’ right when the McCain campaign was finally making gains in the polls, so rightly or wrongly Palin was tied to all of that…….Now I know nothing new or original comes out of Hollywood anymore nor do liberals dump their so called tried and true cards like “race card”, “evil corporations” “conservatives are dumb” etc……..But it is now OBAMA, the Dems, the MSM, and Hollywood trying to use those same tired ‘old’ talking points when it is themselves on the run and it is them that have to defend their policies to a growing amount of American people who are waking up to things they not only don’t like but for the most part agree with Palin that it’s with a HELL NO!

It’s not Palin causing people to lose their jobs, it is not Palin that is taking over auto companies, banks, and the student loan program, it’s not Sarah Palin defying the will of the people ramming through a massive Health Care bill that few know what’s in it. That honor goes to Obama and probably for the first time in his political life He has to defend himself(running for reelection in a safe Illinois senate seat doesn’t cut it) HE IS THE MOST polarizing figure in the country right now, not Sarah Palin….. Barrack is below 50% in the polls and most of his policies are in a plurality opposed by the American people. Rightly so, I’m glad that the Gov has learned to turn the derision and criticism on her back on the Obama administration and the MSM or the Lame Stream Media as she properly notes. The networks are having record drops in ratings, they can not blame the internet or more diverse alternative media as reasons for their failings, if it was so then explain Fox news record-setting rating highs?......No it’s the fact that more American people are angry at what’s going on and they want the truth about the Obama admin not cartoon fantasies love-fest, and for that some chose to believe the Cartoon Network more than MSNBC for a period. So go ahead networks and democrats continue to mock and deride Palin and other conservatives, continue to play the ‘Race card’ on the Tea Parties, continue on because those things will not work in these TIMES……Obama is on the run and some Dems like Stupak are running away literally and it’s up to us to continue to oppose and stop his policies and in the meanwhile mock him and his buddies because the shoe has turn on them and they deserve it.

No, all she's doing is supporting the RINO McCain and his treasonous Obama Lite vision for America.

"Senator McCain and I agree on the big picture,
where it is that the country needs to go."

You know, I got a similar felling watching the latest Tina Fey SkankaComedy skit. Sure, Fey does a good job affecting Palin, and some of her “humor” was biting...But it hjust didn’t seem to be as biting as Fey seemed to want it to be.

At the same time she was doing her nastiest, it was coming through quite strongly, that what one was watching, was a bitch imitating a good person, and the smarmier Fey went, the more clearly it came across that *she* is the skanky one.

Knock it off!! (OG - wishing she was a moderator)

There is a place for discussion and disagreement - you’ve far surpassed that.

Seriously, you are not on our side. Give it a rest and go somewhere else.

This is not mocking but she needs to go get voice lessons if she expects to make a run for the presidency. Her cadance and voice inclination is not favorable. It gave rise to the Saturday Night skits. The SNL mocking is quite effective. Palin has the same voice problem as Hillary Clinton.

Just as newscasters for the deep south have to learn a national accent if they land a national news position, so does Palin have to correct herself.

Just like JFK smothered his New England accent, right?

I guarantee you a FR donation that Palin will come out against amnesty when Congress takes it up.

When it comes to Palin you are being disingenuous.

Exactly how much of a donation are we talking about here?

Palin expands her position on Illegal Immigration

Palin: we need to close the borders. They are called illegal aliens for a reason and if they are not going to follow the rules they should not be in our country.

It’s pretty simple I ratched that one down to the simple answer because its an easier answer than some politicians want it to make it be. you close the borders.

You get more agressive about cracking down on the illegal aliens and we take it serious what our border patrol officers are trying to do

December 2009

Lars Larson radio talk show

LARS: The amnesty proposal that was defeated in Congress — in your view, was that amnesty for illegals and would you back amnesty for a path to citizenship, as the current president calls it?

SARAH PALIN: No, I’m not for amnesty. Let’s ratchet this down quite simply to remember what we’re referring to. Illegal aliens are called “illegal” for a reason.

We need to secure our borders and I am not for amnesty. And there are humane ways to deal with the 11-13 million illegal aliens who are in our country right now, but if they’re not going to follow the rules, they need to get out.

What besides playing the Governor has Tina done? Awards just passed. Did I miss something?
Sarah has again caused the White House to react. She did it about 3 months ago as well.
Sarah walks across the room and look who goes drooling all over them selves they are so mad.
You can start with Tina. (who wd be doing what with out her...?)

*sigh* Her voice has nothing to do with enhancing the SNL skits.....it was because she was a conservative woman and liberals love to mock those women, that voice thing has been discuss ad naseum on other threads, i wont get fickle about small potatoes, if some have a hangup on such things then so be it, Its silly to me that some are so shallow

I think SNL will read the country's mood and decide on a much safer route to laughter, and ratings.

It wouldn't surprise me to see them use Tina Fey's Palin to take shots at Obama and/or the dems. Sarah Palin has enough exposure now to dish it right back at them if they try to smear her again.
