In a press release just handed to Fox by the FBI, the six Michigan residents, two from Ohio, one from Indiana are charged with “seditious conspiracy.”
Reportedly, Hutaree is accused of attempted use of weapons of mass destruction. Charges range from August 2008 to today. The militia group Hutaree are said to have conspired to oppose by force the authority of the US Government.
The members viewed local, state and federal law enforcement as "the brotherhood," also known as their enemy, and have been preparing, the FBI says, to engage them in armed conflict.
According to one plan released by the FBI, the group was to kill a law enforcement officer, then during the funeral precession, hit again with IEDs to kill more LEOs.

Yep...Cair in the middle of this says it like I see it thus far...the Gov. will not set off a (crusade) war by saying it was a muslim group against a christian group...but it seems one guy complained about this christian group threatening him and he went to cair...cair took it from there..next we have a raid on these guys. I hope I’m wrong but it sure looks like this is going to get ccovered up from the get go.
BTW If the Gov. thought this might end up a conflict between the ISlamic militia and the christain militia the n it makes perfect sense they’d come in and take this down the way they did. Otherwise it smells.

For what it’s worth I checked out their web site early Sunday morning at about 5:00am and it looked pretty tame to me.
There were no anti government statements or anything of that nature but I haven’t seen it since then, There was no porn either.

Not sure by “join our side”, but if you think that they will endanger their pensions for some ideal like the constitution you will be sadly disappointed. Just look through history and you’ll see that when push comes to shove the cops/military will go with whoever is paying the bills. It is only when those in power can no longer pay the bills that things get interesting, otherwise these guys will do anything required to keep that pay check coming, including busting your head if you’re out in the street protesting.
But like I’ve said before, killing cops is the best way I can think of getting killed yourself. It’s stupid to think that people will rally to your cause by killing those people that most still consider to be “protectors”.
People only respond when they think that there is something in it for them, otherwise they would prefer to stay on the sidelines waiting to see which side is going to win AND then jumping in to cheer that side.
Lastly, the whole idea that a militia/guerrilla action against the federal government can win is folly. Isolated pockets of resistance will be taken care of fairly quickly as their neighbors will rat them out or they’ll be starved out. The only successful guerrilla wars that have been won have been backed by governments (think Vietnam and Afghanistan where the Soviets and the US backed the insurgents that eventually won) or have used drug running to fund their activities.
Why them? Why not Westboro Baptist Church?
this is all very unfortunate. just thnk about it...christian group plans to kill offficer to get a group of mourners at funeral...no sense to it...doesnt pass the smell test...they are just being shut down...
no doubt there would need to be big money financial backing from some large industrialized country.

I analyzed this whole thing in detail, and pointed out that
since both the KSM trial and the Ft. Hood/Maj. Hasan trial have been pushed offstage for a good long time, it is THIS trial that will be pushed center-stage. I think they’ll play it by ear on how far they can push it to try to create a Big CHill for anti-Obama dissent, but push it they will.
It will be exploited for every ounce of fear that can be squeezed out of it. These “Hutarees”, mostly innocent or mostly guilty, will probably be the entree on every night’s mouthwatering plate of news by the likes of Matthews and Geraldo, as they try to push the idea that our very civilization was and is at stake, and we’d better punish the Right Wing Christians NOW, before they grow. Of course, they WANT them to grow, so a REAL crackdown can be initiated, but they’ll never tell you that. We’re in for some interesting times.’
This I am fairly sure about: the trial of these militia people has MAJOR priority over both of the others.

Any group can call themselves whatever they like. This group calls themselves Christian. So do the Westboro “Baptist Church” folks, but their actions are FAR from Christian. The Baptist Church has totally denounced them.

WHY target the funeral of a police officer, actually seeking to kill other officers mourning the loss of a friend? There’s nothing Christian about it!
Some charismatic schmuck (most likely mentally ill) convinced a few weak people that he had the answer. It’s happened before. Many times.
It needs to stop. The more attention they get, the worse the problem will become.
I'm hearing that their leader is quite the devotee of a certain libertarian congressman from Texas who masquerades as a conservative and runs on the Republican ticket...

In the near future we are going to see an increase in stories of “right wing violence” played 24/7 by all networks and newspapers.
There will be arrests made with trumped up and fabricated charges brought against people who won’t even know what they are being arrested for.
Hell, we might even see a “reichstag fire” or two courtesy of ol dead fish rahmmy, himself. Never waste a good crisis, right?
There will be television programs featuring toothless bumbling “militia types” slapping their women around, maybe a couple movies about bigoted “right-wing terrorists” getting foiled by a heroic Denzel, a full-court-press of propaganda.
Of course they will mention the word “Christian” every chance they get.
...and the storyline will be drummed and drummed and drummed until it becomes “fact”.
The left have learned their lessons well. Goebbels would be so proud.
