Today, Shep Smith reported (over-sensationally, as always) that our Congress members are receiving death threats because of their health care "yes" vote. While I am by no means condoning death threats, in typical Shep Smith fashion, he joined in the Democrat's pity party by stating, "Why would anyone do such a thing over just a vote?" Excuse me, Shep.. JUST A VOTE? Has Shep been following the UNdemocratic process by which this health care bill was passed? The meetings CLOSED to Republicans, the outright ignoring of American citizens anger about this bill while labeling them as Unamerican, astro-turf, Nazi fanatics? Obama, Pelosi and Reid's stealing and diverting of MILLIONS of taxpayer dollars to buy other Congress member's votes? Exploiting the Executive Order process to throw the "yes" votes over the top? Threatening the use of the Slaughter rule for passage of this UNCONSTITUTIONAL BILL?
Smith fails to realize that when OUR Government refuses to act in accordance with our founding document, let alone PERSISTS on stripping us of the freedoms our Forefathers and countless numbers of Americans have died for, what does our Government expect? The fact that we have become far too tolerant for far too long is what has landed us in the mess we currently find ourselves in.
Last Sunday signified far more than a vote on a Bill. What we witnessed was the hijacking of the Democrat party by the Progressive/Marxist movement. We now have neither Democrats nor Republicans controlling our Government. A simple analysis of those who surround and advise our President is clear evidence of this, and Sunday was nothing less than the Marxist disease having spread to the controlling body of our Congress.
Just a vote? Hardly. What is perhaps the most publicly UNPOPULAR Bill ever in America's history was signed into law by a President who has shown a total disregard of that fact. Only a Marxist would pretend to have done something "for the people" AGAINST OUR WISHES.
Our history of Civil Wars and American Revolutions started not with death threats or killing. They started when those in power chose to abolish citizen's freedoms while transforming them into slaves.
Last Sunday was a severe blow to our freedom. "We the People" are angry. We can either accept becoming slaves or choose to engage in the war our Government has begun to wage upon us. A boiling point will be reached where we realize being tolerant and civil can no longer be tolerated if we are to remain free. The alleged "death threats" announced today are reflective of that.
The genius of our Constitution is that it reminds our Government that WE are in charge, not THEM. When the Government decides that THEY themselves are in charge, regardless of what WE think, they've fired the first shot in a war they themselves have begun.
Shep Smith's characterization of Sunday as "just a vote" is troubling. While death threats are also troubling, it's our President and Congress that first threatened us ALL.

i have started changing when he comes on but lost track today and when he started with the histrionics over the death threat i lost it. i listen to it on XM when picking my daughter up from school and as soon as he started that crap today i switched to sean hannity on AmericaRight. SHEMP, as my husband calls him, is a total tool.

THEY DON’T EVEN CAST REPRESENTATIVE VOTES THAT CHANGE OUR VERY REPUBLIC.
i feel pretty sure that what these dems have been told is that they have been TARGETTED, that they are DEAD MEAT, that WE WILL GET YOU, and what the speakers mean is ELECTORALLY speaking. but it suits their agenda to paint these as death threats.

Beck should spend his hour one of these days sharing his Death Threat file with us. I am sure we would find that very enlightening.
Can’t watch Smith more than a minute or two. I know people say he’s gay and what not, but that’s not it for me. He just grates me...kind of condescending. And it seems he really has no grasp as to how angry people are over death care and everything else Obama stands for.
None of these so-called threats should ever be broadcast by any network (or reported via any other medium) unless there is hard evidence of the threat and the investigation proceeds far enough to find out exactly who is making the threat. There isn't a "journalist" out there today that isn't aware of the Alinsky playbook and the techniques for ginning up false threats and attacks. Knowledge of these techniques being in play in our current political environment requires this level of diligence in investing any such "reports" of this nature. And if any "journalist" claims ignorance of these techniques, then they need to move away from covering national (or even local) politics and maybe find work reporting on the society balls or home & garden news.
They want to gain more control. Where does it stop. This is a bs PR story. It’s happening on the conservative side too. Look at Ann Coulter. Do not buy or listen to this.

I think they keep the accusations vague on purpose so nobody can sue them for libel. Scott Brown filed a lawsuit when the dems lied about him before the election; that’s what has to be done. As long as these people can get away with this they will keep doing it. The guy who supposedly got spat on made a direct accusation that it was “Tea Partiers”, didn’t he? If so, the “Tea Partiers” should sue him for slander.
That was “just a vote” like Shep is “just a heterosexual.”
