Today, Shep Smith reported (over-sensationally, as always) that our Congress members are receiving death threats because of their health care "yes" vote. While I am by no means condoning death threats, in typical Shep Smith fashion, he joined in the Democrat's pity party by stating, "Why would anyone do such a thing over just a vote?" Excuse me, Shep.. JUST A VOTE? Has Shep been following the UNdemocratic process by which this health care bill was passed? The meetings CLOSED to Republicans, the outright ignoring of American citizens anger about this bill while labeling them as Unamerican, astro-turf, Nazi fanatics? Obama, Pelosi and Reid's stealing and diverting of MILLIONS of taxpayer dollars to buy other Congress member's votes? Exploiting the Executive Order process to throw the "yes" votes over the top? Threatening the use of the Slaughter rule for passage of this UNCONSTITUTIONAL BILL?
Smith fails to realize that when OUR Government refuses to act in accordance with our founding document, let alone PERSISTS on stripping us of the freedoms our Forefathers and countless numbers of Americans have died for, what does our Government expect? The fact that we have become far too tolerant for far too long is what has landed us in the mess we currently find ourselves in.
Last Sunday signified far more than a vote on a Bill. What we witnessed was the hijacking of the Democrat party by the Progressive/Marxist movement. We now have neither Democrats nor Republicans controlling our Government. A simple analysis of those who surround and advise our President is clear evidence of this, and Sunday was nothing less than the Marxist disease having spread to the controlling body of our Congress.
Just a vote? Hardly. What is perhaps the most publicly UNPOPULAR Bill ever in America's history was signed into law by a President who has shown a total disregard of that fact. Only a Marxist would pretend to have done something "for the people" AGAINST OUR WISHES.
Our history of Civil Wars and American Revolutions started not with death threats or killing. They started when those in power chose to abolish citizen's freedoms while transforming them into slaves.
Last Sunday was a severe blow to our freedom. "We the People" are angry. We can either accept becoming slaves or choose to engage in the war our Government has begun to wage upon us. A boiling point will be reached where we realize being tolerant and civil can no longer be tolerated if we are to remain free. The alleged "death threats" announced today are reflective of that.
The genius of our Constitution is that it reminds our Government that WE are in charge, not THEM. When the Government decides that THEY themselves are in charge, regardless of what WE think, they've fired the first shot in a war they themselves have begun.
Shep Smith's characterization of Sunday as "just a vote" is troubling. While death threats are also troubling, it's our President and Congress that first threatened us ALL.
The staged death threats and vandalisms and the fake racial slurs are all part of the Marxist way.
There are a LOT of nuts out there, stuff like this happens all the time. When I interned for my congressman many, many, many moons ago as a young college student, one of every ten letters (before email era) had something that could be construed as a threat, and this was a nobody congressman with no major controversial stuff going on.
The difference is now, they take these fringe nuts and try to give the false impression that it is the norm. Some are ‘egging’ this on by giving media exposure. IE, they want the threats for the media attention and to marginalize their opponents.
The old rule of thumb used to be ignore them and they’ll go away, give them attention and they’ll stay.
Dont pick on poor ‘Sheep’ Smith...

Shep has to avoid crying. It makes his eyeliner and mascara run,
course there is no evidence to racial comments or threats at all but hey smith loves being a drama queen

I hate it when Dr. Frank-N-Furter gets in a tizzy. Hope he finds a calming influence and mellows out.
True, Shep is a whiner. Death threats are stupid and will not help the cause. Then again it is probably Democrat operatives doing it t help Obama move closer to a take over.
Republicans and Tea Party people can’t and will not fall into the trap of violence.
I am pretty certain the problems at the Washington demonstration were set up. If they weren’t the Tea party attendees would have and should have spoken out against them.
We can’t let the Saul Alinsky tactics of violence be associated with us. That does not mean we should not use the peaceful Saul Alinsky tactics. Has anyone demonstrated against the children of Congress members. Will they go to their schools? Democrats would.
