Attorneys general from 13 states sued the federal government Tuesday, claiming the landmark health care overhaul bill is unconstitutional just seven minutes after President Barack Obama signed it into law.
The lawsuit was filed in Pensacola after the Democratic president signed the bill the House passed Sunday night.

My high school education tells me it was 13 colonies that started this great nation by rebelling against the Brits tax measures. I see a parallel.
I haven’t seen it yet but I understand that there is legal a petition going around to get a referendum on the ballot for this fall in Michigan. It apparently will force the state to refuse to take part in the socialist health care scam.
Referendums are where Michigan conservatives tend to shine the brightest. Gay marriage, guns, and affirmative action are some of our recent success stories.
Thank you, AG McCollum!
Not enough. But I think it was 11.
EVERYTHING THIS JERK DOES IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL.....HE HATES THE CONSTITUTION, HE SAID DURING THE CAMPAIGN IT IS A ‘FLAWED DOCUMENT’, BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING IN THERE ABOUT ‘REDISTRUBUTION OF INCOME’.........WHICH IS KARL MARX 101............THEN AT HIS SWEARING IN HE LIES AND SAYS HE WILL PROTECT THE CONSTITUTION....HE SHOULD BE EMPEACHED AND SENT BACK TO KENYA, WHERE HE CAME FROM..........
Fla’s AG described the bill as a “Tax on living”. I wonder if you can consider it a violation of the 24th amendment prohibition on poll taxes.
MMMMmmmmmm. A black president imposing a poll tax?!
David Axelrod and the rest of the red diaper doper babies running the country “ aren’t concerned” about these lawsuits, probably because they have no intention of complying with any adverse rulings
I think the strategy for multiple states filing together in Florida is the speed and friendliness of the courts. More than likely they have found a friendly judge(s) that will expedite to the USSC.
Well, they won’t have any choice, will they.
I just wrote my state’s AG (GA - Baker-D) and among many other things asked him what GA government would do when taxpayers move from GA to states that are fighting for their freedoms?
I also told him I would publize the names at this next election of anyone supported this bill.
Yeah, I know it probably won’t do any good but I have to do something.
.."A Republic, if you can keep it"
When they talk about fast tracking, whats the timeframe? 3 to 5 years?
What USSC Justice rids heard over the State of Florida?
“Our dumb dem of a Governor in Arkansas declined to join the lawsuit. Big suprise!”
Ditto for NC.
And dumb doesn’t even begin to describe the depths of the woman’s stupidity.
Good for you.
Mr. Baker is running for Governor. I would be interested to hear his take.
I also told him I would publize the names at this next election of anyone supported this bill.
Yeah, I know it probably wont do any good but I have to do something.
Yes. I’m starting to feel better.
I just emailed my thanks to my AG McCollum. Unlike Stupak’s contact form, comments from other states appear to be enabled.
I just may pack up my money and move to one of those states. One thing I can guarantee you... when a state secedes from the union, I’m there.
