@Abbott2010 I am organizing a conference call tonight for AGs across the country. We will discuss our litigation strategy...

The northern part of Texas is called the “lakes and prairies” region. Being a SoCal boy, I’d never seen so many lakes in one area in all my life. There’s plenty of inland water here.
As a matter of fact, I’d say there are more boat owners per capita here, than in California. They’re everywhere.
I was born less than a mile from the Pacific, in Monterey, and had never lived more than an hour away from the beach, until I moved here. I miss the ocean once in a while, but only only once in a while. The rest of the quality of life factors here, far outweigh my old love for the beach.
Oh, I can think of lots of places in Cali that I would gladly banish the libs to, starting with Death Valley.
LOL.
Great idea. We could use that for the overflow, heheh.
What about amnesty for illegals? What can the states do about that? It’s not too early to consider that question as we saw today. It’s probably a pretty big issue for Texas. And it is arguably as big if not a bigger issue than the health care bill for everyone who isn’t a democrat.
You can count Wisconsin out. Until November. We’re going Red!
I live in Texas and have for 35 years. Would never go back.
I love living where the wind blows free, and the only “bullshit” I smell is from actual bulls, not politicians.
Here the people control the politicians, not the other way around. We only let them meet every two years, and for only a limited time. We keep them out of Austin, and home with their constituents where they belong, and where we can get at them.
Since I left, they have destroyed NJ. I remember when they got people to vote for an income tax in the 70’s so that the property taxes would be lowered. It was only supposed to be 1 1/2% on the wealthiest. I think it's now 11%, and the property taxes are the highest in the country. My Uncle, who is 84 yrs old and a retired fireman, pays almost $12,000 a yr in property taxes on a home he's own for 50 yrs. It's a modest house, no mansion. It's cost him more in taxes than it did to buy the house.
My taxes here are $1,500 a yr on a house worth $115,000. They won't go up and are frozen at this amount since my husband and I are over 65. Yup, love living here.
Hope Cristhie can do some good there. Most of my folks are buried there. I'm waiting for the day when they tax their graves as real estate. Don't think it can't happen. You can't escape them even in death.
You all come down and see us now, yah hear.
TX AG is coordinating with other state AGs to file federal lawsuit in effort to have obamacare ruled unconstitional
Just tweeted:
JordanSekulow As Obama speaks, ACLJ preparing to file fed lawsuit to challenge health care!
Yeah - he’s probably got the most people of any state destined for death panels.
San Antonio? No thanks.
thank
LOL. Ever seen their floating Christmas Parade on Big Cypress Bayou?
You’re welcome. Not sure about Montana. Presumably there has been no activity. I don’t know if the map is up to date.
I was a bit surprised that we (MN) had something in process (or at least in committee).
Anyone have any idea if these lawsuits by the states or other groups can stop this nightmare or slow it down? It took us how many years to get rid of McCain Feingold.
That dope war has already spilled over into the border
states,,,
The feds ain't gunna do squat about this so it falls to
the states to protect their citizens,,,
If the states won't do it then the citizens will just have
to protect themselves by any means necessary...
I am so weary about now. This news is good but can’t even get through to my heart right now. I know Obama and the radicals take great joy in enslaving Americans to the government’s rule to the degree that they can not decide who to let live and who to kill.
They were not happy with putting us all in poverty with their spending and taxation and nationalizing the banking and car industry; they needed to take over the health care industry for the power to kill us and make Americans suffer in a callous machine called government.
There will be ever more freedom stripped from us before this is over.
No, I’ve never seen that. When I was a younger man we used to go up there and rent a cabin at the fish camp. I remember there used to be a nice restaurant that burned down. It was close to the boat ramp IIRC. The cabins were sparse, but we always had fun up there.
Come to Texas, Pollywog.
I am ready to go from this government now. We can not be a constitutional union under socialism. I want to be free.
You would be welcome in Texas, gal! :)
