Supporters like to portray President Obama and his agenda as centrist. But those actually in the political center beg to differ. In fact, 66% of independents say their ideology is to the right of Obama, according to the latest IBD/TIPP poll. Just 14% say theyre more liberal. Independents: Oppose Obama's handling of the economy by 2-to-1. Among those with strong opinions, disapproval soars to 6-to-1 30% vs. 5%. On health care, 53% disapprove

They’re socialists that are too chknsht to say so.
I hope you are correct. The Specter leading Toomey poll surprised me and was a reminder to keep on fighting.
They won’t hit a wall but rather we will drive them into it.
There are a lot of ignorant people in this country. They just don’t follow the news.
I was at a church retreat a while back, and roomed with a friend. I know her well enough to say she is personally conservative, but apolitical. I suspect she voted for Obama, but she knows I disapprove.
When she walked into my room I warned her I wa watching Glen Beck. She seemed puzzled and asked if it was an R rated show or something.
She had never heard of the man.

Along with envy and racism, a primary engine of the Democrat party.
I would wager a fair proportion are in the “fire on both your houses” camp, and considering the state of the GOP at the moment it’s hardly surprising either.
BO has thought this all out and his evil plan is working. I’d really like to see him on camera with a big dose of truth serum and have him spill the beans.
“66% Of Independents Say Obama Is To Their Left”
He will not be re-elected. The campaign begins anywhere betwee 6 months and one year from now. He might even get a primary challenge from his right (Bayh). If the pubbies run the right candidate we could be looking at a 40 state rout.
Or agree with them.
Back in the 60’s, I was a hippie dippy commie pinko lefty flower child.
But I still loved America.
So That would mean that The Lyin’ King is even to the LEFT of what I was back THEN!
duh
So? Didn't Hugo Chavez say the same thing to Fidel Castro? "Hey Fidel, we're further to the right than the new President of the US!"
It's my perception that "independent" just means inconsistent. Independents vote as conservatives on some issues and as liberals on others. My sister-in-law is an example. She's pro-abortion but opposed to the death penalty (no, I can't explain it).
In my youth I was registered as a democrat. It's been more than 20 years since I left the democrat party, but I never registered as a republican...so I'm an independent. But I am a Christian and a conservative, so I have very little choice when voting given the extreme stance of the democrat party, but with the idiots running the republican party I'm not inclined to join that side either.
The only percentage I really care about is what percent of ACORN is left standing. Hopefully 3% or less.
My perception of an “independent”;
- Registered with no affiliation
- Unengaged in politics (possibly disdaining)
- Votes in hopes the contention will finally go away
- Votes for their personal pocketbook/welfare/entitlements
“That would mean that 34% of independents arent really independents.”
Bingo
...bye bye Obama.
