I realize there aren’t a lot of McCain fans here (myself among the non-fans), but he has really stepped up here today when we’ve needed him most.

That is the thing about McCain... he can go for months acting like a hero, but then he puts a knife in you when you least expect it. When he is good, he is very very good, but.... Anyway, I'm glad today was a good day for JM.

He tipped his hand in his opening statements this morning and just reinforced the point: He will feel “forced” to move forward without the Republicans to pass this legislation using any means necessary.

But today didn’t go well and only the hyper-political junkies like us are watching after the debacle of this morning so he doesn’t have anywhere near the political cover for reconcilliation that he wanted.

i hate to say that I agree with Durbin about a cap of 250,000 on malpractice...let’s face it..if some doctor screws up your life..do you really want a cap applied to you?
