GOP Begins "Romney 2012" Campaign (with a little help from glad-to-help Liberals; take a read)
Vanity, et al | 2-19-10 | TitansAFC

Posted on 02/19/2010 2:40:09 PM PST by TitansAFC

And so it begins:

CPAC embraces the new Mitt Romney
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0210/33161.html

South Carolina mulls 2012: Romney? Palin? Huck?
http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/politics/South-Carolina-mulls-2012_-Romney_-Palin_-Huck_-84732787.html

Romney now biggest threat to Obama head to head
http://hotair.com/archives/2010/02/18/ppp-poll-romney-now-biggest-threat-to-obama-head-to-head/

These are just a few examples from the last two days.

You'll also notice the (once again) packed straw poll at CPAC, and a sudden surge in Freepers attacking Sarah Palin at every turn.

It seems the push is already at full force. Mitt Romney is the guy to beat, like it or not (remember that McCain enjoyed -5% support at FR during the campaign), and the GOP is circling the wagons early this time.

Add to that several weekend columns out-of-nowhere attacking Sarah Palin again (George Will, Dorothy Rabinowitz, Kathleen Parker, et al).

let there be no doubt, the organized effort is afoot.

Please. He hysterically pledged a $40 billion federal bailout of the auto industry at a rally in the Michigan primary. Gesticulating his hands wildly, his eyes strangely darting around desperately..

The first question at the first Romney-Obama debate would ask what the difference is between Romneycare and Obamacare. The defining moment of the campaign is when Romney can’t provide any meaningful difference, and falls into a permanent also-ran status. 4 more year Obama.

I guess the only question is: what Romney backer will run to split the Conservative vote from Palin in the hopes of getting a VP nod? DeMint? Santorum?

I believe DeMint would.

I will not vote for Mitt Romney.
If the RNC forces another liberal nominee on the public, I will have to decide how to make my voice heard.
Either A) stay home, B) vote 3rd party or C) write in Sarah Palin’s name.

Our Sarah will run if “her” polling tells her she has a decent chance of winning. She’s too smart and too tough to put herself out as a sacrificial lamb for the news media to rip apart again. Right now, she is doing everything right. Even her endorsement of Rand Paul was a shrewd move on her part. Think of the support and votes the Paul crowd might garner for her, for simply endorsing his son. Our Sarah is one smart woman and an even smarter politician.

This is why I am going to make it my mission that the press does not destroy Sarah Palin. If Sarah Palin runs I am voting for her, end of story.

Sarah is the last person on earth won believes in it “his turn” BS. Mitts does not have the base of support Sarah has. Thats why ever body is sh!tting brick over this. From what I have read Sarah is the master at retail politics and she would crush Mitten in a heart beat in the primary season. One thing to note, if I am correct the primary season is different next time. After the big 4 everything moves out West and Sarah does rather well out West. If/when Sarah announces it already to late for Mitts Sarah would will by default.

“They want Romney, they do NOT want Sarah, and they are going to pull out all of the stops in every way possible to make sure Mitt Romney is the nominee in 2012.”

Well WE don’t and so we will just have to stomp their stoppers after we put them in orifices where they do the most good.

If they try and force another RINO on us, I think it will be the end of the GOP. I really do. Folks are FED UP with same old, same old. The tide is turning.

I will also write in Palin, or any other leading CONSERVATIVE.

Everyone is reacting too quickly. Mitt has some problems and they are pretty big. He’s far from a shoe in, the race will favor Sarah if she decides to enter. The GOP has not decided anything yet, this is mostly Romney propaganda.

It was the Romney Health Care in Massachusetts that won Scott Brown's seat in the Senate. The Massachusetts independents were mad as hell about Romney's Health Care and Scott Brown reminded them that the DemonRATs wanted the same for the rest of the country. “Commonwealth Care” originally budgeted for a annual cost of $245 million, will be $1.3 billion this year. Consequently, the state's health-care costs have spiked 42 percent in three years, and today, health- care spending is 33 percent above the national average. It has been a budget breaking disaster for Massachusetts.

What has happened for universal health care in other countries has occurred in Massachusetts. Wait periods have skyrocketed. The average wait for a specialist now is 50 days; for a family doctor, it's 63, while a pregnant woman can't get in to see an obstetrician-gynecologist until her second trimester.

Romney, who bragged about how he did health care the right way in Massachusetts, could not get elected dog catcher in Massachusetts. And, he will not get elected anywhere because of his poor stand on this issue.

Romney will pay Huckabee to run. Huckabee is more jealous of Palin than he is resentful of Romney.

I’m not giving up I’m ready to help elect Palin.

This election is way to important to be dithering.

You on the other hand are a fringer wack job.

I'm a personhood pro-life, peace through strength, moral conservative, constitutionalist Reaganite. What exactly about that agenda do you find objectionable?

Huckster would likely take more votes from Romney than Sarah. Likewise Pawlenty.
