  • More votes for Perry than Palin in Iowa Straw Poll

Rick Perry who just announced his candidacy received more votes than Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich. How much longer can Palin just drive around the country not doing much of anything and still expect to run for POTUS? A potential candidate without the organization to even manage 100 write in votes looks really really bad.
  • Five myths about Sarah Palin

Think you know Sarah Palin? The former Alaska governor has been in the spotlight ever since John McCain named her as his running mate on Aug. 29, 2008. Yet, while practically everybody has an opinion about Palin, not all of those opinions are grounded in reality. Many of them are based more on a "Saturday Night Live" caricature than on the living, breathing, 46-year-old mother of five. The real Sarah Palin is a complex woman who has risen in no time from obscurity to the stratosphere of American politics, fusing celebrity and populism in novel ways. Now that she's laying...

n an act that places her far above the cowardly acts and statements of the current occupant of the White House, Sarah Palin has issued a forceful statement in support of Israel, showing that she has not only the guts but the wisdom to be President. According to the Weekly Standard, Palin placed the following on her Facebook page: Israeli Flotilla: Don't Take Mainstream Media Coverage at Face Value The media, as usual, seems to be reporting only one side of the Israeli Flotilla incident. Don't trust the mainstream media to give you both sides of a story fairly... you...

And so it begins: CPAC embraces the new Mitt Romney http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0210/33161.html South Carolina mulls 2012: Romney? Palin? Huck? http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/politics/South-Carolina-mulls-2012_-Romney_-Palin_-Huck_-84732787.html Romney now biggest threat to Obama head to head http://hotair.com/archives/2010/02/18/ppp-poll-romney-now-biggest-threat-to-obama-head-to-head/ These are just a few examples from the last two days. You'll also notice the (once again) packed straw poll at CPAC, and a sudden surge in Freepers attacking Sarah Palin at every turn. It seems the push is already at full force. Mitt Romney is the guy to beat, like it or not (remember that McCain enjoyed -5% support at FR during the campaign), and the GOP is circling the...
  • Obama to Create Deficit Panel as U.S. Debt Soars

WASHINGTON -- Determined to have a deficit commission with or without Congress' backing, President Obama plans to announce on Thursday that he is establishing a panel similar to -- although weaker than-- the one lawmakers rejected. Former White House chief of staff Erskine Bowles and former Republican Senate Whip Alan Simpson would lead the panel, a senior administration official said Tuesday. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because the president's executive order creating the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform had not been announced. The deficit spiked to an extraordinary $1.4 trillion last year and could top...
  • Palin's Personal Choice

I'd like to thank Sarah Palin for her bravery in explaining the importance of a woman's right to choose. Even braver, the Alaska governor made her eloquent case for choice at a right-to-life fundraising dinner. That was not, of course, Palin's intention in revealing that she momentarily considered having an abortion. Twice, actually -- once when she discovered she would be a mother at 44, again several weeks later when she discovered that her baby would have Down syndrome. I'll quote Palin at length, partly because I want readers to see that I'm not taking her remarks out of context,...
  • Sarah Palin Battles Mitt Romney for GOP Helm

Blogging from Phoenix: GOP insiders are reporting, former presidential candidate Mitt Romney is making his anticipated bid for control of the Republican Party. Political insiders also claim he is quickly becoming the principle figure behind continued efforts to ramp up public attacks on Sarah Palin. The strategy to ridicule Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin, is a tactic intended to discourage her from any attempt to seek National influence. She is viewed by the RNC establishment, as the most potentially dangerous threat to their hold on the infrastructure of the party. I am told by a source in the Palin inner circle...
