This is just my take on it, but liberals have nothing to smile about and are angry most if not all of their waking hours. That takes a toll on a person's looks.

Take a woman who a) has pride and a sense of herself, b) isn't stressed out about things over which she has no direct control (i.e. has a higher power in charge), and c) a sense of humor and humility ... and you have described both a conservative and a woman who, even if her weight and bone structure aren't "ideal", is attractive.

Liberal women, even those with "ideal" looks, have an angry vapid aura that is anything but. In the case of Ms. Bishop you have someone who started out homely and went downhill from there.

My comment was more a shot at the racists in the democrat party that call for the distribution of jobs to be made on the basis of race and not qualifications. I wasn't attempting to evaluate her actual qualifications...just the hypocrisy when it's clear what progressives mean is OTHER people should lose their jobs on to give them to minorities...but not progressives.
