Highlights:
*The president in the speech declared that his administration has cut taxes for 95% of Americans. He even chided Republicans for not applauding on that point. However, just 21% of voters nationwide believe that taxes have been cut for 95% of Americans. Most (53%) say it has not happened, and 26% are not sure. Other polling shows that nearly half the nations voters expect their own taxes to go up during the Obama years.
*The president also asserted that after two years of recession, the economy is growing again. Just 35% of voters believe that statement is true, while 50% say it is false.
*Obama claimed that steps taken by his team are responsible for putting two million people to work who would otherwise be unemployed. Just 27% of voters say that statement is true. Fifty-one percent (51%) say it's false.
*On all the points raised in the presidents speech, there is a huge partisan divide. On the question of cutting taxes for 95% of Americans, hardly any Republicans or unaffiliated voters believe it's true. However, Democrats are evenly divided: 34% say the tax cuts have been delivered, 29% say they havent, and 38% are not sure.
*Sixty-three percent (63%) of Democrats agree with the presidents statement that the economy is growing again. Seventy percent (70%) of Republicans and 60% of unaffiliated voters disagree.
*As for the claim about two million jobs, 46% of Democrats say its true, while 77% of Republicans say its not. As for those not affiliated with either major party, 24% say its true, and 59% say its false.
*Regarding another initiative detailed in the speech on Wednesday night, just nine percent (9%) of voters believe the presidents proposed freeze on discretionary spending will have a big impact on the deficit.

Cheers!
What's the matter Obama, the publics average I.Q. a bit higher than you calculated?
That is a problem, After that lying speech and Obama's fascist attack on the Supreme Court, they should be moving to impeach Obama. If the impeachment movement was started now, we could have the votes to take Obama out in January of 2011.
bingo.
He is not good at it.
I refuse to even listen to the man anymore, he is like some slick door to door salesman who won’t let you close the door.
Bush and jeb probably stopped in to have a beer and score some coke from Obama and laugh about how rich and elite they all are and what suckers the public is
+5? I thought they had him at -19 the other day.
I too thought he was paying you a compliment.
Sales 101
Never refer to yourself, especially in the first person. Words to avoid: I, me, myself, etc.
Never mention your competition by name: SCOTUS, Republicans, etc.
Always structure your conversation to the audience so they understand WIF’M(What’s in it for ME).
Never discuss your losses lest you viewed as a whiner and well.... a loser...., loser.
He still gets away with a lot of lying. Unfortunately, there are just enough idiots in this country to let this freak remain in power for another three years. If he tells the right lies frequently enough, he’ll get the Democrats another 4-6 years.
As they get more and more generations living off the public dole, there will be fewer and fewer voting age people to know that the rest are being taxed more and more. The end result: everybody runs out of money.
Good for us. We're not as dumb as I thought we were a year ago! ;)
(And that's saying something).
bttt
He’s not at +5. He gained 5 from his -17, putting him at -12 for the moment.
Ras uses a 3-day rolling average. Saturday’s posting was the first day that was made up of all days after his SOTU (W, Th, F). That means he got a small bump from the party faithful. He’ll dwindle back down pretty quickly, I think. I can remember last summer when he finally breached 0 and went into negative territory. He hasn’t been out of negative territory since. I check every day with just a handful of days missed over the last 7 months. He’s been as low as -23 and has had numerous days of -21 and -19. Overall, he’s trended a long way down, occasionally eeking out a little bounce upward of a couple points.
He’s also not a very entertaining liar. Bubba was at least good for a few laughs. zero is just mean, cold, dreary and boring with his lies.
Wilson lost my regard when he apologized. He should have given the bastard commie the finger.
They twist, spin, mutilate and scam every other set of numbers collected relative to the economy.
