He is the president of the United States, but holding the highest office in the country could not protect Barack Obama from being summoned for jury duty in Illinois...

In Colorado, if you report when called, you drop to the bottom of the list. Thus, you are not likely to get called till three to five years later.
Obama needs to be in a courthouse tried and convicted for
treason. Did I say that?? lol
He’s a lawyer, so he’s ineligible..................
He is a busy man. Perhaps he can get off on a technicality, like showing he is not a citizen or something. I’m just trying to maintain his productivity so that he does not waste precious hours away from the people’s business.
.
As a defendant or for jury duty? :)
I believe Obama should not be required to serve on a jury.
Instead he should FACE one.
The first time I had jury duty, I was told at the end that I wouldn’t be called again for at least two years. The second time was 6 or 7 years later and I wasn’t told afterwards how long it would be before they could call me again.
Thats right. His second term should be in jail.
When I had jury duty, I had to present my driver license to prove it was really me showing up. I wonder of Barry Soretoro Dunham Hussein Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Obama will have to.
In most Texas counties, they take you off the list for some period. But after that, it's a random draw. You could get picked again in the same year. My wife did. She was picked for two panels, but then the parties settled out of court at the last minute. She also was called for federal jury duty, something I've never been. I have been called 6 times since '77 when I first moved to Texas. The frequency of being called seems higher in the lower population counties. I've lived 4 counties in that period. One of them, Bexar, is highly urbanized (San Antonio), another was fringe suburban at the time (now no longer on the fringe), the other two mixed small city and rural. Procedures similar in all. Bexar was the biggest pain, because of parking. OTOH, they had a cafeteria and you could go have breakfast while they were picking the panels from the folks who had reported for the pool that day.
I actually look for him to show up with the slobbering media in tow. This will highlight the Kenyans "historic" and "unprecendented" adherence to civic duty.
That, and he could use a couple days off. He's tired...... Presidentin' is hard!
Not ineligible, at least in most places. But unlikely, in the extreme, to not be premptively challenged. No lawyer wants another lawyer on the jury. They don't much like people with analytical skills either, such as scientists, engineers, accountants, etc.
Not officially, but if you were a defense attorney you would automatically exclude any lawyer from the pool. Call it “professional courtesy”.............
Can you prove that staetment, got any records to back that up with?
Is it certain Ubama passed the bar anywhere? I wonder if he has ever set foot in a courtroom in an official lawyering capacity? Can you imagine that guy defending you? .. Without a teleprompter?
LOL - Last time I was on a jury (August 2008), they made me the foreman... We acquitted the guy (misdemeanor) in 30 minutes. Work smart, work efficient...
They seem to call me every two years or so.
