SNIPPET: “A person was detained by customs at Detroit Metro Airport on Friday following Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab’s alleged attack on Northwest Airlines Flight 253, according to a spokesman for U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
It is unknown why the person was detained or whether the person will face any charges, spokesman Ron Smith told MLive.com.
Update: In an interview on Wednesday afternoon, Smith said MLive.com’s story was accurate. He clarified that the man taken into custody came to Detroit aboard a separate flight and was detained for issues unrelated to the attack on Flight 253.
Bill Carter, a spokesman with the FBI in Washington, D.C., said in an interview Tuesday that Abdulmutallab was the only person arrested or charged in relation to Friday’s foiled attack.”

“AlMaghrib Institute is working with the authorities and will continue to cooperate as needed on this case,” he said in an e-mail to the Free Press. In Houston, besides operating the institute, Basyouni is the imam or religious leader of a major Muslim worship and community complex called Clear Lake Islamic Center.”

The situation is so bad, that a man who was on some “persons of interest” list was nearly able to massacre hundreds of passengers and possibly innocent people on the ground but for the failure of his underwear bomb and the courage of a citizen of the Netherlands who rose to defend humanity with his bare hands.”

“Investigators Recover SIM Cards During Searches of Homes Tied to Abdulmutallab”

SNIPPET: “Cell phone-related materials, including SIM cards, were recovered during searches of “flats or apartments of interest” connected to Flight 253 bomber suspect Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, Fox News learned Monday.
SIM cards, which store cell phone numbers and incoming or outgoing calls, may be able to determine who was talking to whom in the months and days prior to Abdulmutallab’s flight from Nigeria to Detroit.
The cards are now being analyzed as investigators continue searching locations where Abdulmutallab may have stayed.”
