I'd like to thank Eugene Robinson for highlighting Alaska's achievements on climate change ["Palin's own 'Climate- gate,' " op-ed, Dec. 15] and for noting that I've "treated the issue as serious, complex, and worthy of urgent attention," while making "any number of pragmatic, reasonable, smart decisions as governor." But he's wrong to suggest that my views have somehow changed or that now I'll have to "renounce" my past efforts.
Continues....

Yep. That's why the lib media sent TMZ to cover the hatgate story.
Actually, she never stops short of sayin it’s not human induced change. She’s brilliant on this one, agreeing that climates change (they do, and the public uses that term now), and then she goes on to showing how climate gate is making a mockery of the truth, that humans are not causing this.
I have a friend who moved from Michigan up there. He says it gets a lot colder in Alaska.
Is completely hypothetical and predicated on a cost-benefit analysis and public support, which means it won't be implemented under her administration.
>> People who say this scare me; the Lady Palin included.
We need to stop the theft of ordinary language.
Climate change is not a phenomenon and stating the necessity to address the impact it has on specific regions is not a radical concept: We install the storm windows in the Fall, and replace them with the screens in the Spring.
Climate Change and climate change are not the same thing, and Palin’s recognition of the latter is perfectly rational.
Not if Governments get together and stop it.
Ahhhhh but Climate Change IS real, it’s changed and changed and changed... we have ice ages and we have warming and then more ice ages and more warming, she is exactly right... she DIDN’T state that MAN MADE Climate Change is real....
You need to go back to school and taking reading comprehension 101.
I’m not anti Palin. I’m just not into political games on a serious issue like global warming. You either believe it’s caused by man or you don’t. Everyone on FR seems to think she doesn’t believe it’s caused by man... I still haven’t seen a quote from her clearly stating she doesn’t believe it is caused by man.
If you have a quote with her saying she doesn’t believe man is causing climate change please post it. The only quote I’ve seen is her saying that she believes in climate change. And she went so far with that belief as to commission a board to explore voluntary carbon trading.
Thanks. I think I need a different class though: political rhetoric 101.
Exacty! She believes in Climate Change ... and she is correct, the climate does change all the time and has changed all through recorded time..... she is actually speaking the truth and then taking the left apart with the rest of her statement...... Doesn’t the climate change where you live? Even here in Arizona we have dramatic changes in climate... so, yes, if they want to call it Global Climate Change then technically they are right... but it’s the Man Made Global Climate Change that is the scam and she has never stated it is man-made.
To you and the other peabrains who do not understand what I wrote: "liberal" once meant what most FR posters are: someone who believes in liberty. The Left co-opted the term and now it means something else. The same is true of "climate change." Get over it, and move on.
You might read The Tyranny of Words by Stuart Chase, and frequently cited by the great Bob Grant.
ML/NJ
Shirley, you aren’t asking us to call you a Liberal are you?
She has never stated it wasn't man made either. She's using some good rhetoric to thread the needle.
She called AGW theory "snake-oil science". I like that rhetoric.

False equivalence.
Voluntary carbon trading is, to summarize the activity, the trading of ‘emissions credits’ between individuals so that you reduce carbon emissions at the cheapest cost without going over a particular limit.
Abortion is homicide, the killing of an innocent child.
Carbon trading is in no way equivalent to abortion.
At any rate, Palin can be advised as much as she wants about carbon trading. If the numbers still show that it would be economically inefficient, she’s not doing it (and the odds of this ever happening are...?). Not that hard to grasp.
"You quit without finishing a single term, you silly woman! You have now self-identified as an expert on climate strategy. A debate, Oxford-style, would provide a platform for a comparison of your ideas and statistics and Al Gore's. We're all waiting. We won't, however, hold our breaths."
"Ms, Palin, You are an unfortunate soul trying to derail serious discussion of an issue that will negatively impact everyone on this planet. You should step out of this discussion before the facts of the matter overwhelm you. You are out of your league here."
"Actually, "as governor of Alaska" you just up and quit. You did nothing. And you're doing nothing for Alaska now."
Because we all know she quit for absolutely no reason whatsoever.
And this one's my favorite:
Ms. Palin: You are not capable or qualified to judge "what's on the table" in Washington or Copenhagen." You evince what scientists & epistemologists term "self-confirming bias," that is, a tendency to confirm--notwithstanding facts (or what more broadly might be termed "empirical truths"--& that's 'truth' with a small "t") your preconceptions (or in your case, your ideological worldview) even as your self-confirming bias or preconceptions are contradicted by observable (& replicable) facts. Your worldview, as you have shared with us over & over again, is predicated upon a belief in superstition, what would properly be termed "supernaturalism." Belief in the supernatural, as with belief in any irrational phenomena or system, is incommensurate with the world of reason, science, & intellect--the phenomenal & material world in which all sentient organisms live. You claim (as Governor) to have sought "common sense (sic) solutions" to the complex problem of climate change. However, you cannot make such a claim when your worldview is predicated upon superstition & supernaturalism: Your worldview is incommensurate with the recognition of the overwhelming empirical evidence associated with & the enormous complexity of climate change. Your belief in superstition & supernaturalism render you utterly incapable (your belief in superstition & the supernatural) of recognizing & engaging the world of empiricism & fact & responding with anything but...self-confirming bias."
Huh. Since when could we explain and understand everything without any error? Have we proven the nonexistence of a Creator? (No need to answer.)
Climate change as per Sarah is real. But "climate change" is a hoax. The true meaning is in the scare quotes.
