Black Gangs Vented Hatred For Whites In Downtown Attacks

'I Hate You F---ing White People,' Woman Shouts At Victim

Black gangs roaming downtown Denver often vented their hatred for white victims before assaulting and robbing them during a four-month crime wave, according to interviews and court records obtained by 7NEWS.

"I hate you f---ing white people," said a black woman in a large group of black men, according to the victim who was beaten up as he and three buddies left a LoDo bar after midnight on Aug. 30.

"F---- you, white boys," the woman added, according to the 25-year-old Westminster victim, who spoke to 7NEWS Friday.

"Why do you hate white people?" the man recalled asking. "That's when I got hit. They beat the crap out of me," he added, saying that 15 to 20 men beat him to the ground.

"They just swarmed you," said the man who curled up on the ground to shield his face. "You basically just had to protect yourself and hope they didn't kill you."

The victim, who suffered bruised ribs and a cut head, said he was protected by a padded motorcycle jacket. He asked that his name be withheld for his safety.

A couple dozen arrest warrant affidavits unsealed Friday offer chilling insights into the 26 racially-motivated "blitz attacks," which stretched from July 17 to Nov. 17.

One unidentified suspect told police "that the members of his gang earn status in the gang by beating up 'white dudes,'" according to court records. He added that the gangs targeted "drunk white guys," exiting bars and nightclubs in the entertainment district.

The suspects allegedly bragged about knocking out white victims with one punch to the head. Victims lying on the ground were "stomped" and even tossed through glass windows.

In the more than two dozen attacks, victims' injuries included a skull fracture as well as broken noses and eye sockets when they were blindsided by punches that often knocked them unconscious. One man was so savagely attacked that he was hospitalized in a coma for a while, police said.

Several of the 35 young male and female suspects arrested by police recently said the gangs often targeted lone white and Hispanic men because they didn't "fight back" and they had money, iPods and other valuable gadgets that attackers coveted.

Another goal: to drive whites away from their downtown turf, including a hip-hop nightclub, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

The gangs "own that area," one suspect told police.

7NEWS exposed the crime spree in early September when a law enforcement source said the police department was keeping the public in the dark about a series of downtown attacks. The source added that a special FBI task force had been called in to help identify the assailants.

When 7NEWS made a public records request Sept. 3 for crime reports in the area, a police spokesman confirmed the department was investigating a "pattern of assaults and robberies in central Denver" that began in July.

Police spokesman Sonny Jackson denied that police delayed warning the public for seven weeks to avoid frightening visitors to the popular and lucrative downtown entertainment district.

He said police had to confirm "a pattern of behavior" before going public.

But police reports say the gang attack pattern was identified during the summer as the department deployed uncover teams and used surveillance cameras to identify the assailants.

"During the summer months of 2009, a pattern of criminal conduct was identified which included multiple suspects identifying a solo Caucasian or Hispanic male and completing a blitz attack against this party," an officer wrote in an arrest affidavit for a Sept. 4 robbery on the 16th Street Mall.

"Part of the MO involved the group of suspects, usually African American males, sending a party, possibly an African American female, to identify the victim," the officer wrote. "This is done by (the woman) talking with or standing with the victim. A suspect, generally male, from the group will step forward and hit the victim hard, knocking him down. Other members of the group will then emerge and begin participating in beating the victim."

The Westminster beating victim said if police had warned the public earlier, he and others could have better protected themselves

"I'm kind of upset that (police) didn't make it public," said the Westminster beating victim. "I would have been more vigilant. It would have made people a lot more on guard."

But, he added that, "I'm very pleased that they responded the way they did." Within minutes of his 911 cell phone call, uncover officers flooded the scene. He recalled listening to police radios crackling with reports of two suspects being arrested that night.

"I was like, 'Wow, finally they did something,'" the man recalled.

Prosecutors have charged two men and a woman in his attack.

As police pursued the massive investigation involving 35 suspects and dozens of victims, investigators asked the young blacks why they targeted whites.

"Because they got a lot of money," suspect Allen Ford, 18, allegedly told police. Other suspects echoed that simple rationale.

Ford, who was the last suspect arrested in a major police sweep in the past two weeks, allegedly told investigators earlier that he was upset how the robbery spoils were divvied up among members of the Rolling 60s Crips gang and the Black Gangster Disciples gang, according to the arrest affidavits.

Ford, who was arrested Thursday, allegedly griped about "other people getting bigger stuff than me that I would really like to have in my life," according to the records.

At times, older men would chastise young gang members, saying, "Y'all make it seem like a big deal for y'all to be knocking out white people," suspect Denita Mayfield told police. "They all brag about beating up white people."

But the attackers used more than their fists. "The series of crimes has also involved the use of a gun and knife," a police report said.

One male victim recalled a black woman approaching him on the street and saying something he couldn't hear.

"As he was attempting to clarify what had been said to him, a black male came up and stated, 'What the f--- did you say to my girl?'" a detective wrote in an arrest affidavit.

Instantly, the victim was punched.

As he was pounded with blows, the victim said he heard a woman voice shouting, "Get that white boy!" according to an arrest affidavit.

Kendall Austin, 18, allegedly told police that the street gangs "own that area," referring to the 1400 block of 19th Street.

He said they were especially possessive of the Bash nightclub at 19th and Blake streets, saying their purpose was to "keep white people from going to 'The Bash' and to 'let people know not to come downtown without their friends for protection.'"

During an Aug. 2 attack, suspect Allen Ford told police his alleged accomplice, Xavier Francis, tossed a white man through a glass window behind the Bash nightclub.

"I seen him pick the little white boy up and throw him through the glass," Ford told police, according to court records. Police obtained security camera video showing the victim fly through the window.

The Westminster man said after he was attacked, he avoided downtown for a while.

Now he's returned to his favorite LoDo tavern, but he added: "I'm a lot, lot more cautious. It makes me look over my shoulder a lot more."

My own theory on this briefly - the deliberate devaluation of human life by liberals.

You've hit the nail right on the head. No people are innately so self-destructive. The pathology of crime and violence among the black population has been purposely indoctrinated into them by the hard left.

The massive deceit that has been perpetrated upon black Americans by the left is nothing short of genocide. Through decades of forced mis-information, a concerted effort to destroy the educational standards of blacks in general, the imposition of massive government intrusions in the way of welfare programs, affirmative action, housing assistance, and the promotion of the concept of "multi-culturalism", blacks have been been nearly destroyed as a people.

The effort, all along, has been to cause blacks to individuate themselves from the mainstream American culture, and to foster among them a strongly agreed-upon mindset of failure, hopelessness, disability, and victimhood status. The result is a broken, dysfunctional subset of the the population that can be easily manipulated for nefarious purposes.

It's diabolical. Pure evil, through and through. I thank my lucky stars that I am one of the few who managed to escape it.

It used to bug me that white people seemed to ridge up when I'd approach them. Even in my professional adult life, I've had to deal with that reaction, which always melts as soon as I begin talking. I've had to be discerning, myself.

I appreciate the fact that you get caught in the middle, as do all respectable black Americans, where you often get regarded as if you might be one of the thugs just because you share the skin color, but before you condemn white people for being overly suspicious, you have to remember that white people also get it from both sides - white people get assaulted by black people, but they're not allowed to be afraid or suspicious of black people, and if white people want to help the black community, they get called racist for pointing out any problems.

The PC in this country is so ridiculous that employers are afraid to fire a black man who habitually sleeps on the job (this actually happened in a place I worked). If a black man punches a white guy, it was because of oppression. If a white guy punches a black guy, it's a hate crime with special enhancements and media character assassination. All of the racial meddling and engineering by the government has made the problem far worse.

I've known a lot of black people over the years, and with some, I've tried to make the conservative points to them, and make them understand that Uncle Sucker will only make things worse, not better, but no matter what facts I bring or what logic I use, I generally get dismissed outright, because, as a white man, I couldn't possibly understand. Nothing I say means anything to them solely because of my race. Yet, at the same time, I, and every other white person, are held responsible for every problem the black community has. Blacks kill whites and its whitey's fault. Blacks kill blacks and it's whitey's fault. If whites try to correct the situation, it's racism.

Quite the predicament we're all in, eh?

I appreciate that you're offended. This subject is intrinsically offensive. But if we don't honestly address the offensive realities of race relations in America verbally, we in this nation will eventually be forced to address them physically.

That being said, I wonder if you could address the point under contention: namely, that some sort of "tribal instinct" lies at the root of the problems blacks have in every part of the world. There must be some reason that Detroit, East St. Louis, and Africa are hellholes, after all. Would you care to speculate on that reason, or do we have to stop talking about this now because you've become offended?

My G30 with an extremely small barrel seems to be accurate enough at 75 feet and I don’t practice a lot. The first time I shot it I hit a cigarette pack at 30 paces, so I think the guy with the G32 would stand a pretty good chance. I’ve shot a similar .357 to the one in the picture upthread (eerily similar actually) and it was really nice and accurate (probably more so than my G30 mind you, but my old man won several trophies with it so I would expect it to be accurate).

That said, a .357 with JHPs is certainly a force to be reckoned with - very intense indeed! I’ve never had my Glock jam though - even having not cleaned it before I shot the last several mags worth of ammo through it.

I hope you didn't think that I condemn (some) white people for exhibiting suspicion when meeting me. I didn't mean to communicate that. They're reaction is completely understandable, given the horrific and unrelenting parade of negative stories about blacks they're exposed to.

Something that you may not have thought of, is that a lot of blacks also have the same reaction to unknown black males, in certain circumstances. Oh yes, I do understand the reaction.

Well it doesn't work with me, and I don't buy your excuses for blacks, are you saying whites are superior to blacks, that blacks are too dumb to see what whites are doing to them, if whites take drugs into the black communities, the blacks don't have to take it.

Black people have every opportunity to reject what their liberal masters dictate to them, but they don't, they instead 'prefer' to embrace the 'blame and hate white folks card' for their problems, it is not white folks' fault, blacks have no one to blame but themselves, and until they are willing to confront and address what that really is, the jury will remain out somewhere in the speculative field on just what exactly is their problem, until then degeneracy and widespread violence amongst their numbers will only continue to rise out of proportion to other races.

Tossing out “tribalism” is a collective condemnation. On the whole, black people in the United States have never been allowed to develop a successful social structure. The closest they’ve come was in the “parallel downtowns” of segregated cities, not that forced segregation was right, but there was a merchant class, a professional class, upward mobility and standards of behavior that were upheld.

A wrongheaded approach to desegregation resulted in the destruction of these areas, which were deemed “blighted” and replaced for the most part with federally subsidized structures, bleak public housing, and other visible signs, of the apparatus of dependence. Every leftist effort to “help” since, has encouraged and furthered that dependence. No standards of behavior have been allowed to stand, they’ve been undermined.

Substance abuse, popularized by and defended by the left. Sexual promiscuity, forced into the public eye and made acceptable by the left. Affirmative action, leading to the elevation of black women over black men in the extreme, plus the derogation of marriage has relegated black men almost to the role of bedouin sperm donors ... on and on, it’s been absolutely poisonous, so much so that the Democrats of old, the segregationists and the Klan, couldn’t have destroyed black males more thoroughly if they’d never stopped being segregationist Klan.

That’s what is offensive about a sweeping generalization. Every people has some degree of “tribal” impulse, we seem hardwired for it. People generally trust and associate with those most like themselves, and begin to venture beyond that once a level of comfort and security in society is reached. We’ve seen this occur with every large wave of immigration, of people distinctive enough to have ever been considered “other,” for however brief or lengthy a time.

So long as this association, or the lack of it, is free of force, then there’s nothing inherently wrong with that. It’s a choice, and it’s human nature. Forcing separation, and then imagining that forcing no separation repairs the past, was the genuine fool’s errand. Layer upon layer of force in the opposite direction, layer upon layer of attempts to equalize outcomes with the removal of consequence and the removal of reward, has compounded the problem, to the point that a large number of the black male population in many cities, verges upon becoming feral. There’s no penalty for it, and pop culture glorifies it.

And so, here we are.

People like me put the lie to the "tribal instinct" theory. If you want to test that theory, go live in the black community for a couple of years and really get to know people. You'll find out what a complete, and destructive lie that is.

I won't deny that black communities (and nations) everywhere in the world are basically dysfunctional. As far as I can determine, this degraded state of being among blacks has been intentionally caused by malevolent forces. Mostly of the leftist variety.

Blacks who aren't born into the confines of these decrepit communities are totally unlike those they share skin color with. They're more mainstream, and most consider themselves as Americans first, with their race only being of secondary importance.

There isn't a "failure gene", or a "tribal instinct" at work here. What there is, is aculturation and indoctrination from a young age, that sets in place a certain mindset.

This is precisely why I refused to allow my own children to be born in, or to be raised in a monolithic black community. There's a contagion of aberration there that I'm unwilling to allow them to be exposed to.

When I was a youngster, I knew a few white families that never left with the rest of the "white flight". I went to school with some of those kids, and they were alculturated nearly identically to the rest of the kids in the neighborhood. Even their speaking voices were identical to the rest of the community. They knew they were "different", but the black community was all they knew. They fit in pretty well, in that day and age. The boys of one family (the Hubers) were all successively stars on our high school football team.
