[history]
But two Hollywood conservatives (yes, there are some) have called upon the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to rescind the prestigious, profitable gold Oscar statuette that it gave ex-Vice President Al Gore two years ago for the environmental movie "An Inconvenient Truth."

I’ll be watching the entertainment channels to see if they cover this. There was no lack of media adoration when he won the thing.

I suspect this aimed at the Academy, rather than at Gore’s ill-gotten Oscar (and fortune). Look for more of a row when the Academy nominates a clearly undeserving and politically motivated film— there will be a loud response.....

Why stop here. He was given the Nobel Peace Prize for the same bs. Recind that, along with the cash that came with it. Oh, and add about 30% interest to that just to have Algore cough up more $$$. He would never part with a penny of any of that.

You have made
one glaring error. Liberals do not, have never, nor ever will care about the facts. All that matters is how you feel. If you feel more responsible, more caring and more protective of preserving 'the planet'; then any lie, any cost, any deception is justified.
You are thinking logically, thoughtfully and using reason; these are the antithesis to Liberal thought patterns.

sure did! And another of the ‘major’ awards .. ‘they’ couldn’t give him enough accolades for all he did to save the planet with “An Inconvenient Truth.”
Nobel has shown itself - repeatedly now - to be no more serious than an Oscar.

I believe you’re right... It will take this story out of the political arena (something many Americans don’t pay attention to), out of the science arena (which barely ever gets reported on outside trade journals), and into the Entertainment arena where we ALL know the majority of Americans know WAY more about than either of the two preceding subjects! Hollywood is like America’s “Royalty” and I think this is a brilliant move!
Now, I wonder if anyone will suggest they should take away his Nobel Prize? Don’t worry I won’t hold my breath!
