Creationists are ‘liars' (?): Geologist Donald Prothero doesn’t like the fact that we don’t agree with his ideas on evolution.
I love the attitude some evolutionists have toward professional, scientific debate. Because creationist scientists do not agree with their biased, subjective and unsubstantiated ideas they spit the dummy and call us liars.
The latest tirade from geologist Donald Prothero is in an opinion piece in NewScientist entitled ‘Evolution: What missing link?’1 I like that title.
His article was picked up by the Telegraph newspaper in the UK which reported, ‘Creationists “peddle lies about the fossil record”.’2
Lies? Are creationists really lying?

You know I completely agree with you. Indeed, I’m starting to look at all the abuse coming from the darwin-droolers in a whole new way. The darwiniacs know their evo-atheist creation myth is being flushed down the toilet bowl of science. This makes them very angry, and they don’t like anybody or anything that reminds them of this painful fact...especially if it’s creationists doing the reminding! As such, they will do anything to distract attention—especially their own attention—away from the fact that the HMS Beagle is sinking below the massive, merciless waves of scientific falsification. Thus the keyword attacks...thus the lies, insults, and the changing of the titles of our posts, or the deleting of our replies when we (routinely) get the upper-hand. They are defeated, and they subconsciously know it, but they can’t quite bring themselves to consciously concede defeat, for it cuts right to the core of their man-centered materialistic religion.

There is no "scientific debate" going on. There's science...and there's religion....and the 2 cannot be debated or compared.

No, it's because you pervert all science to fit tales from a book and then claim to be on equal footing such that there should be a debate, and then whine about it when there is no debate like it means something.....because you cannot debate science and religion in this manner. "God did it." isn't an argument.

I wouldn't say "lies" concerning a random YECer spewing nonsense in an on-line forum....uneducated untruths is better. To lie, you have to know WTH you're talking about in the first place and know that what you're saying is untrue, but say it anyway to purposely decieve others. If you're just ignorantly passing on absurdities like Man living with meat 10 ton meat eating dinosaurs, it doesn't fit the definition of a lie.
What Prothero shows here is that Darwin’s theory was accepted in spite of the evidence from the geological record.
What evidence in the geological record contradicts the Theory of Evolution?

To claim that cladograms are based upon and confirmed by morphological features alone is to misrepresent the state of the science.
But creationists must misrepresent science as a necessity, as we are seeing.
Avoiding the question? You also forget the whole premise of this thread; that Creationist are so called “liars.”
And as for Mendel, I seriously doubt that Mendel would agree with Darwin. in fact, all evidence points to him being a Creationist. So are you agreeing in calling Mendel a liar? And are you going to answer the first question; do you think Darwin was qualified to found the theory of Evolution, a man who was not a scientist but a major on theology?

No, "creationists" are not liars at all!
They are something far, far worse. They are believers. One cannot converse with, speak sensibly to, or have a fact-filled logical arguement with, a believer. The best a person can do with a believer is smile at them sweetly, and ignore their "arguements".
Once a belief is held by a believer (regardless of how groundless, silly, or inane it may be), no amount of facts or truths will change their beliefs. And it is fruitless and a waste of time to attempt to.
I'm simply examining your premise (that Darwin should not be considered a scientist because he studied theology, and did not have degree in a biology). Before I adopt that criteria as being a valid test of whether someone should be considered a scientist or not, I want to examine it on it's merits and see if it holds true. If it does not, then I have to ask why you've chosen to adopt it, and why you think I should.
If you read the thread you were pinged to by GGG you would see it was the original poster who complained about him.
Here is a chronology.
The thread is talking about string theory until:

GodGunsGuts (GGG) is a creationist that spams the news forum with several creationist threads every day.
He believes anything that is not in line with a 6000 year old earth or the rest of the bible to be an atheist, liberal, Nazi, communist, racist, etc (people have been called all of those by GGG or his groupies)plot.
Please ignore him and go back to your interesting discussion.
