We've all seen the photo:
But does it tell the whole truth? I'm as anti Obama as anyone but the fact is Obama did have his hand on his heart, just not at the last second of a long musical note. Let me explain:
Here is the video. Look at 2:33-2:37 the video clearly shows he does have hand on heart and then the camera pans away. Camera returns at 2:56 and Obama still has hand on heart till 2:59 when camera pans away again.
The problem is when do you put your hand back down? As can be clearly scene as the last loooooooooong note is played at 3:29 a number of people lower their hands (including the couple directly to the right of the trumpet) at 3:38. The woman in red to the left still has her hand on her heart for a few more seconds. Had the photo been taken right then, it would appear the couple to the right were unpatriotic because in a photo their hands were down when compared to others.
Obama may have been a little quicker than others to put his hand down (maybe patriotism is hard for him-lol) but he did have it up unlike the famous photo with Hillary and Richardson.

In most of the postings of this I have seen on-line. The cations is always that he never put his hand over his stone-cold heart.
GEEZ don’t ask me to give Zero any slack. I’m getting ready to vomit.

Thank you for defending our Dear Leader.
It’s just not fair that those evil conservatives pick on Obama, just because he bows to monarchs and hates to salute the flag.
He’s got a lot on his mind.

He’s not defending him. Unlike the left, we have honor, and we’re not willing to deceive others just because it suits our purpose. If you’re willing to dispense with honor, you might as well be a liberal yourself.

It's best when the photos and other posts we put up here on FR are verified to the greatest degree possible. I hope we are not slipping in that regard. I've now found a few other photos of that day... it's not that hard to do. Captions and links are above each photo. The third one is during the National Anthem (presuming that the caption at the source web page is correct).
U.S. President Barack Obama is saluted by Admiral Michael Mullen, left, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Major General Richard Rowe, commander of the Military District of Washington, D.C., during Memorial Day Ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia, on May 25, 2009.

Agreed. Truth is truth. We need not become “them” to make a truthful case.

I’ve always assumed that was the case. With the old one from the campaign trail too.
Thing is, what’s his rush? Does he have to be the first one to drop his hand every time???

Re: 54
Nonsense. He has a history of this... Then ding him on the instances where he's misstepped.
Getting indignant over removing his hand from his heart a few seconds too early ... is misspent indignation.
As I said early - there are many reasons to go after this guy - we shouldn't go after him over a made up faux pas...

Although the picture might not indicate he had his hand on his heart, the photo, as emailed around the world, is so plausible and probable, that most, including me, believed it! That said, good catch!

Doesn’t hurt anything. If they can Alinsky, so can we. This photo took hold because the public is already on to O the AntiAmerican.
