If the recount shows a win for Hoffman, they will simply begin recount #2. When it's all over, Hoffman won't be the winner.
Exactly. Nothing to see here; move along. Hoffman is so over (for this year, anyway).

Ballots received by today and postmakrked on or before November 2, 2009 will be counted. Look for the Dimmicrats to challenge “validity” in the recount phase.

No, because the concession speech is based on the facts known. If the facts chance the concession is invalid.
Elections are decided by vote count, not concession speeches

I thought they only had 10,000 total to count....now they have 10,000 left still?
Sounds like they didn’t count any of them yet!
I want to hear this from the election officials, but it could be very shocking and good news for him.

Juan Williams went off on Sarah Palin on FNS yesterday, blaming her for loss of the Republican in NY-23. I’d love for Hoffman to win to see Juan eat crow.

I thought, once you conceded and gave that speech, you were done. Not so? Recall that in 2000, algore conceded, before he unconceded, and drug the election through the "hanging chad" nightmare.
I wouldn't get my hopes up though, you KNOW the dems will do whatever is necessary to steal the election, regardless of how the votes went. Otherwise we would have that idiot al Franken stinking up the place.

Why does everything think concession is some big deal....all it is saying I give up the fight.
If the facts change, the person who wins the vote actually wins, regardless of concession.

Hoffman conceded. Normally they do not wait on the certification in conceded races. Maybe they should make it law that the race has to be certified before the Congresscritter can be seated.

Tell that to Norm Coleman and he was AHEAD at the close of the polls in 2008. 2000 votes is still a long way to make up. These are ABSENTEE votes, cast BEFORE DeDe Scazzaflazza (deliberate mispelling) dropped out. Who knows what they’ll say when opened.
To: gimme1ibertee
Conceding means nothing, except that you are acknowledging your loss. Use to they didn't concede until after all votes were counted, in this case there was a miscount right off the bat, so once again the dimwits cheated. Gore "unconceded" in 2000, which led to the "recount" philosophy the left still uses in close races.
The election was never certified, and that is what is virtually undoable, and until it is, Owens is NOT a member of congress, whether or not he was sworn in.

I’m reminded of the Democrat from SD who was behind by something like 2,000 votes with one indian reservation polling place yet to report in. It had something like 2,100 votes and he ended up getting something like 2,089 of them and he won. Tom Delay, I believe.
Beyond that kind of shenanigans, this thing is over.

Anyhow, this is good to hear. The closer it gets, the more it looks like he would have won had it not been for the combination of factors in the last week or so.
