The service was very beautiful.Very very sad.I didn’t listen to Obama but heard the very end when he said God bless America. The Honor line is very sad too.
I would hope it is a unit coin. But it would not be rare for the Office of the President to have a coin.
I would bet a paycheck that it has a big engraving of Obama's face in the Mussolini pose.
Oh, Shep just called them 'challenge' coins. The idiot thinks that these coins are minted to win beers. That is a pastime for brothers in arms, as an aside to building unit pride and cohesiveness.
Cohesiveness, not diversity.
From Wiki answers:
To quote USHistory.org, ‘To wear our country’s flag properly, the field of stars is worn closest to your heart. Thus, if your patch is to be worn on your LEFT sleeve, use a left flag (normal). For patches worn on your RIGHT sleeve, use a “right” or “reversed field” flag.’
This is the right answer, but the wrong reason. The correct reason is that the stars are always placed facing forward, as if the flag is blowing in the wind as the person (or airplane, or car) is moving forward. If you do it otherwise, it can be interpreted as moving backwards, or retreating. Positioning the flag in this way also places the blue field in the position of highest honor, according to heraldic rules.
Gov Perry understands and loves the military
That POS doesn’t
Wow a Brit
this is moving and didn’t need odumbo
it was on in the office. i had to walk out. no matter how much i disagree with him on everything,if i thought he cared one whit for the soldiers and not about what this might do to him in the polls,i could respect him for that.
We all know here however,he could care less about the troops. Nothing matters to him but him.
I am sure the families are drawing so much strength from those surrounding them right now. There is no understating the comfort that is recieved from even the smallest gesture.
They will need the comfort, the strength and all of our prayers.
presidential coin
Closing prayer.
As I understand it, the blue field on the flag is always supposed to face “forward”...so the flag on their right sleeve is inverted, with the blue field on the right, toward the front of their bodies. You’ll see the same thing if you look on a commercial airliner and they have the American flag in front of the registration near the tail. The blue field is toward the front of the aircraft, regardless of side, so the flags on the right side are reversed with the blue on the right.
I’m not in the military, so there maybe another reason.

a poll was done about who voted and wanted obama
white men said no
hispanics said no
white women said no
infact the only group who wanted obama was black and I ma guessing that those cheering were mostly black and I bet the majority of those there including families were disgusted by that
As one black guy told me , color comes first
The elderly man can barely stand his grief. God bless him...
It is well with my soul...was the name of the song that was being played...
Me myself I’m fighting fear for my family and my country...
It is not tacky. To not have done it would have been dreadful It is tradition. Their CO’s will leave their own also. It is one of the highest tributes. He is following the same protocol all presidents follow.
prayers during this day of mourning...
I totally lost it when taps was played. My 1st Cav grandson was a friend of Jason Dean Hunt. Noticed applause was very light when the President was introduced and not much more after his speech.
But the media will report it as one of ‘O’s finest moments and greatest speeches......mark my words.
I am pretty stoic for a woman, hold up well in crisis and do my weeping at a later time. Holding it in doesn’t always bode well for my body though.
>much of their torment probably comes from the lack of comfort from the so called CinC and authorities...but excuses for the Islamic terrorist who slaughtered their loved ones...<
Agreed.
Not only do they look like they’re grieving, they also look bewildered to me. They must be feeling so betrayed now, wondering how folks who should have been working to prevent this sort of thing could have been so careless as to let this happen in the name of political correctness.
Of course, I have no way on earth of knowing how they feel-I’m just going by what I feel as an observer and a fellow American citizen.
This whole thing could be a major turning point.
