According to an intelligence source speaking to the Northeast Intelligence Network, forensic analysis of Nidal Malik HASANs computer and other media determined that HASAN had routinely visited al Qaeda and Islamic terrorist web sites in months and weeks leading to last weeks massacre at Fort Hood.
According to this investigative source, HASAN also downloaded material from the web site operated by former Dar al Hijrah mosque leader and terrorist facilitator Anwar Nasser al Awlaki. As reported here, al Awlaki was an imam at the Dar al Hijrah mosque in Fall Church, Virginia in 2001, where he advised and facilitated two of the 9/11 terrorists in the months prior to the attacks. Al Awlaki also counseled HASAN during that same period
The information obtained from HASANs digital files reportedly shows a pattern of deliberate and willful planning to conduct some type of attack against the U.S. military prior to his deployment [to Afghanistan], stated this source who requested anonymity as he is not authorized to speak publicly. The motive behind the massacre appears to be rooted in his ideology, an ideology which was emboldened by online activity, added this source.
As indicated by a ABC News Online article, intelligence sources reportedly had a level of knowledge that HASAN was in communication with al Qaeda assets abroad. The source speaking to this author confirmed that report but went further, stating that this and information similar but not directly related to such communications became a political issue between government agencies and officials at the policy making levels of the administration.

“What did the Administration know, and when did they know it?”
Exactly. And add: “And what did they plan to do about it?”

I fully expect to see our media report all of this

If he starts to say anything that could make the chosen one look bad...he will either go back into a coma or die suddenly.
I wonder when (or if) the American people will ever get serious about the fact that these people want to kill us. All of us. Gay, straight, Christian, athiest, etc - it doesn’t matter who you are or what you do. If you’re an American, you’re a target - period.
We’ve already had a 9/11 - what else will it take for us to give up the pretense that muslims are peaceful and wish us no harm?
His ideology? I thought he did it because he caught PTSD from an infected soldier. Or he was depressed about the economy. Or he had a toothache. Or he was lashing out at the injustice of the BCS system as opposed to a collegiate playoff system. Anything but his ideology.
Small bomblet....alert

They knew the guy was connected to terrorists and a sympathizer and yet they said and did nothing so their intel flow would not be interrupted. It’d be pertinent to know if they gained ANY intel via watching this guy and not reporting him. Otherwise, the “collateral damage” is on their hands. Did this guy shoot up soldiers on cue or did he do it on his own? Have they figured out the cue?

I had long wondered why people on the Left had the propensity to speak more positively about people who would slit their throats than they do about their own country, which affords them more freedom and opportunity than anywhere else. David Horowitz has answered that question thoroughly and convincingly in his Unholy Alliance. Where I felt bewildered and confused, I now feel crystal clear. Unholy Alliance is such a great book.
It begins with the leftist movements at the beginning of the 20th Century, and works its way up to the present day, exploring the anti-American attitude of these movements in detail. Horowitz shows that the enemies of the US back then are largely the same group today, operating under the same misperceptions, making the same mistakes, and pursuing the same impossible utopia.
