Fox News can confirm that Fort Hood suspect Army Major Nidal Hasan is awake and speaking to medical staff at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.
Hospital spokesperson Maria Gallegos says he's in critical but stable condition.
A U.S. Army spokesman says Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the suspected Fort Hood gunman, is in critical but stable condition three days after he allegedly opened fire on the military base that killed 13 and left 29 wounded.
Hasan, 39, was shot during an exchange of gunfire during Thursday's attack. The military moved him on Friday to Brooke Medical Center, where he was taken off a ventilator on Saturday.

When he get to that point, its time to begin crushing his teeth one by one with a pair of pliers. Once he gets out of intensive care, we can start working over his nuts with an electric generator. I like the way you think.
In fact, I think you and I would get along nicely over a few brews one day.

Has Larry King scheduled him in yet?

That would do it for me....for you...
..but I'm sure it won't faze him....it would make his day to know he took a few lives.

I’d pay $100 for a chance at being on his firing squad. The funds raised could go to the families of his victims.

I'm guessing that whether this is a military trial or a Texas trail that this guy will die, so win-win from that perspective and an infinitesimally small consolation to those who have lost so much.

Yeah Gunny Ermey would do a good job I figure. If not, anyone with a PRC 25 wired up to his gonads should work fine too.

He is a military Officer, on base, on duty, I am guessing the UCMJ has him first. That said, section 856. ART. 56.
MAXIMUM LIMITS
The punishment which a court-martial may direct for an offense may not exceed such limits as the President may prescribe for that offense.
I can count over a dozen UCMJ violations to charge him with, but what will the punishment ultimately be?

The media will be sure to tell us that we cannot TRUST what he is saying. After all, that is what they say about how interrogations don't bear out valid information. At this point, how can we even trust what the Army might say he reveals? They've already indicated they're ready to punt to the politically correct side of the field on first down.
If they come out and say he disavowed any connection with terrorists or Islam, I simply can't believe them at this point. We may have to smuggle in a British journalist if we're going to get anything close to the truth.

You say that as a joke but I can tell you from experience with these type of prisoners - yes, they will accommodate him and his so-called religious demands.....and that makes me even more pissed off! Every time I read an article describing him as the “alleged” or “suspected” shooter I want to throw something!!!!

The Army should insist on a military tribunal trial rather than allowing our inefficient and corrupt criminal justice system to have anything to do with him. Since it happened on base and in uniform, charge him with treason.

From ABC News:
Even worse, U.S. intelligence officials were aware of this months ago, and "it's not known whether the military was ever told by the CIA or others that one of its majors was making efforts to communicate with figures under electronic surveillance."
So my question is who will be interrogating this muslim terrorist?
