As a Christian I, too, pray for Hasan.

Search for meaning? There is no meaning to evil other than destruction of anything good.
Next question?

This is the problem. It’s not Christian to be blind AND stupid. Search for meaning? Islam is evil. There’s your meaning. Allah is NOT our God. PC Christians are the worst. Especially those in authority.

Word is that obamination is going for the memorial “phot-op”—even though he couldn’t be bothered to visit the injured or pay condolence visits to the families of the dead. Maybe he’ll give a “shout out” to his friends, the radical islamists, while he’s there.

Col. Jackson is fortunate Hasan didn’t save his fire till today and be even more symbolic by launching his executions in an Army base chapel during a Christian service.

Sorry, Padre.....with the utmost respect, I disagree with your exhortations to "search for motive, search for meaning, search for something or someone to blame."
We already know, Padre, we don't have to spend the next week or year "searching"......we are not stupid sheep. God gave us brains and reason to connect dots.
I will not type here what I pray for in regards to the vile murderer. I read the complete article here and see little to nothing on the affliction, woe, torment, grief and pain of the victims' families. Almost EVERYTHING I'm reading this weekend is almost exclusively about the poor "demented" shooter and his peaceful "religion"!!!!!
Comfort and peace for the bereaved, distraught families are the ones I'm praying hard for.
God did not ALWAYS turn the other cheek.

...He also asked them to pray for suspected shooter Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan and his family "as they find themselves in a position that no person ever desires to be." No, chaplain. Hasan is EVIL. Jihadism is EVIL. Read the Lord's prayer. Deliver us from evil. Remember?
As for AP running a story like this, how about connecting Hasan to Al Quaida like the UK press has done? How about running a story on Hasan advising the Obama transition team? Sheesh.

We DO need to prayer for Hasan. We need to pray that he repents of his sins. If he doesn’t, then HE’LL have to answer for that before the great Throne of God, but we will have done our duty as Christians.

Those families of those victims are not looking for meaning, they are in mourning now in pain...
The only meaning those families know now, is that ? the Government screwed up and need to be held accountable for this act of violence and terrorism.

The prayers should be for Hasan’s victims, not for Hasan.
He has made his choice willingly, and that choice is to follow satan’s religion and murder innocent people. He’ll get his reward when he dies. Not one word of support should be offered to him.

If you have ever had experience with military chaplains (I was a Navy chaplain), you would know that they come from various denominations. Some of those denominations do not even have a seminary. I have run into some very odd chaplains. There was one chaplain from a Progressive Black denomination that hated all white people. Some of the female chaplains were into Gaia worship. Nothing that a military chaplain says would surprise me. I would definitely NOT be leading a prayer service for the murderer at this time. That is totally insensitive to the victims. I could see someone praying that Hasan would repent of his sins and believe in Jesus Christ, but you would get court martialled for such as prayer in the military.
