FORT HOOD, Texas (AP) - Soldiers and others are attending church services at Fort Hood, Texas, and in neighboring Killeen to pray for the man authorities say went on a shooting spree and to honor the victims.
An Army chaplain exhorted worshippers to pray for meaning in the worst massacre on a military facility in the United States.
Col. Frank Jackson expressed frustration Sunday as members of the sprawling Army post "search for motive, search for meaning, search for something, someone to blame."
He urged the congregation to "focus on things we know."

I agree. Of course I can see praying for his soul, but to be told to search for a meaning? That Chaplain knows what caused this. There is no search necessary.
I pray for him to have a long, painful, debilitated life, for him to die alone and cold in solitary confinement, for no one to remember his name, or why he murdered, and for him to spend the rest of eternity being turned on a spit over the fires of Hell by Satan (who he called allah back before islam was eliminated from human consciousness).
But that’s just me.
pray for a man who killed a bunch of people in the name of his religion
yea right
If he got a chance he’d have killed you but you want to pray for him.
No wonder the Christian religion is going down in smoke when all we hear is how Christians should be praying for killers even if they hate you.
Does anyone know if that is because he is going to expire or he is recovering?
I'm hoping he recovers so he can be put up before an army firing squad and shot one shot at a time. Wrapped in fresh pig skin ofcourse.
The Japanese were interned in WW2 for far far lass than this. Can't we just send all these muslims back to what ever 3rd world poo hole they crawled out of?
0/11 ,7/7, and 11/7 taught me all I need to know about Islam .
Do any of you read? He didn’t tell them to search for meaning, the article says he expressed frustration with the searching for meaning.
To be fair, the piece somewhat contradicts itself by saying he exhorted them to search for meaning in one paragraph and saying he expressed frustration with it in the next.
ooops, 9/11
No, chaplain. Hasan is EVIL. Jihadism is EVIL. Read the Lord's prayer. Deliver us from evil. Remember?
As for AP running a story like this, how about connecting Hasan to Al Quaida like the UK press has done? How about running a story on Hasan advising the Obama transition team? Sheesh.
Recovering.
Good. Hopefully we’ll be treated to a very public trial, where he will undoubtedly make it crystal clear that murdering infidels is a mohammedan sacrament.
If he died, he’d be dismissed as just another unconnected nutter, nothing to do with islam, nothing to see here, move along...
yea, I’d pray for him and other Islamist as they slowly boil in a vat of pig blood.
Wouldn’t it be more to the point to pray for the innocent victims of this atrocity?
Your fellow soldiers, Colonel Johnson.
We DO need to prayer for Hasan. We need to pray that he repents of his sins. If he doesn’t, then HE’LL have to answer for that before the great Throne of God, but we will have done our duty as Christians.
That's okay. I'm sure they did not want to see him anyway. Their real Commander-in-Chief went to visit and pay his respects.
When did we become such spineless wimps? Our enemies are laughing their asses off at us. There is no need to attack us we are destroying ourselves.
I guess we ‘are’ able to read then?
