Republican Dede Scozzafava endorsed her former Democratic opponent Sunday in the race for an upstate New York congressional seat, one day after Scozzafava dropped out of the contest.
Scozzafava dropped out after Conservative Party candidate Dough Hoffman experienced a late-in-the-game surge. But on Sunday, Scozzafava backed Democrat Bill Owens -- the announcement was made in a statement send out by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
"I am supporting Bill Owens for Congress and urge you to do the same," she said. "In Bill Owens, I see a sense of duty and integrity that will guide him beyond political partisanship. He will be an independent voice devoted to doing what is right for New York. Bill understands this district and its people, and when he represents us in Congress he will put our interests first."

This is what moderate and liberal republicans do. They would rather see democrats win than any hated conservative.IIRC at the news conference announcing the suspension of her campaign she was asked if she would support Hoffman. She said she would quietly teleconference with GOP chairs before making a choice.
One can only assume that the majority of the NYS GOP chairs endorsed her support of the Democrat.
What's the collective noun for weasels?

Newt & Nancy sitting in a tree,
Trying to find a way to kill the GOP.
It is good that the RINOS are making themselves known. That way we know who to target.

I see a sense of duty and integrity that will guide him beyond political partisanship.
In other words...to avoid the dreaded "political partisanship" (and get along at any cost to our integrity and principles), let's all just be democrats! Dede led that one by example.

So now we know the difference between a Rhino and a Democrat - None! Maybe all the better because with a Hoffman win, it will be even sweeter and a Big Message to the RNC and Obama! GO HOFFMAN!

She needs to take her friend in the NY House who was the County Chair that got her the nomination with her along with the Chair of NY GOP who turned a blind eye to the dirty tricks and lies to get her on the ballot.
Since she had already commented in the past she was thinking of becoming a Dem, that it was only a matter of time if she was elected before she would caucus with Pelosi.
Now the RNC needs to ask for their campaign contributions back along with anyone else who supported her.

Scozzafava was fully endorsed by the RINO Chairman of the RNC, Michael Steele, and by his fellow RINO Newt Gingrich as well.
This should be brought up every time the Republican Establishment tells conservatives that they have to vote for a social liberal with a Republican label.

The democrats so want this seat...Obama lures the Republican, “McHugh”, from the seat to be Army secretary, then the democrats load both candidate slots with two liberals so there won’t be any chance in hell to lose! If that’s not enough, the smartest History Professor in the Country, “Newt”, was willing to go along with the liberal Republican in order to keep the Republican Umbrella together no matter what the Republican candidate believed in, as long as there is an (R) next the candidates’ name>

Someone replied to a post I made on one of the threads yesterday giving Scozzafava props for doing the right thing...
It WAS the right thing to do. Now endorsing the democrap is something completely different. Sarah Palin congratulated her on dropping out, but I'm sure Sarah isn't overjoyed at the endorsement of the democrap in this race.
