THE WEEKLY STANDARD just received a statement from Sarah Palin endorsing conservative Doug Hoffman for Congress:
The people of the 23rd Congressional District of New York are ready to shake things up, and Doug Hoffman is coming on strong as Election Day approaches! He needs our help now.
The votes of every member of Congress affect every American, so it's important for all of us to pay attention to this important Congressional campaign in upstate New York. I am very pleased to announce my support for Doug Hoffman in his fight to be the next Representative from New York's 23rd Congressional district. It's my honor to endorse Doug and to do what I can to help him win, including having my political action committee, SarahPAC, donate to his campaign the maximum contribution allowed by law.
Our nation is at a crossroads, and this is once again a "time for choosing."
The federal government borrows, spends, and prints too much money, while our national debt hits a record high. Government is growing while the private sector is shrinking, and unemployment is on the rise. Doug Hoffman is committed to ending the reckless spending in Washington, D.C. and the massive increase in the size and scope of the federal government. He is also fully committed to supporting our men and women in uniform as they seek to honorably complete their missions overseas.
And best of all, Doug Hoffman has not been anointed by any political machine.
Doug Hoffman stands for the principles that all Republicans should share: smaller government, lower taxes, strong national defense, and a commitment to individual liberty.
Political parties must stand for something. When Republicans were in the wilderness in the late 1970s, Ronald Reagan knew that the doctrine of "blurring the lines" between parties was not an appropriate way to win elections. Unfortunately, the Republican Party today has decided to choose a candidate that more than blurs the lines, and there is no real difference between the Democrat and the Republican in this race. This is why Doug Hoffman is running on the Conservative Party's ticket.
Republicans and conservatives around the country are sending an important message to the Republican establishment in their outstanding grassroots support for Doug Hoffman: no more politics as usual.
You can help Doug by visiting his official website below and joining me in supporting his campaign:

This statement will be on Palin's Facebook page soon.
You seriously have no clue Greg. Here is my preference of candidates in this race: Hoffman > Owen > Scuzzabama. The 3rd party candidate you should be upset with is Scuzzy.
Let’s just say that Hoffman were to drop out. Then Scuzzy probably wins. Exactly which issue do you agree with her on that it would be so great to see her win? Oh you support card check? You support higher taxes? I think you’re on the wrong forum. She is not a conservative, so I don’t see why you’re all upset at Doug Hoffman, the only candidate even close to what you seem to say you support.
Notice the lack of a hajib....
FYI, there was no primary, the GOP avoided a primary so they could run "thier" candidate. That so incensed the GOP grass roots that they decided to run a real republican as the Conservative party candidate. Let this election be a wake up call to the GOP, NO MORE BS CANDIDATES run conservatives as Republicans or we will run real conservatives against you.
Good..I hope the result is that the establishment rockefeller republicans crap a brick sideways...
Word.
There is no difference between a daily Kos, DU Liberal and Buchanan, Perot, Tancredo, Dobbs etc since both of their intent is to put Democrats in power and split the Republican vote.
Cheers!
Way to go Sarah! You betcha!
Contemplating is hardly the same as making that change. I fully understand the consequences of making that change - which is the reason why I have not done so. Were the primary an open primary I would change to independent - however, doing so in a closed primary is counter-productive.
Bill Clinton was elected by six words: "Read my lips -- no new taxes"
and the complicity of the Press, coupled with his (never-before-seen) War Room and instant spin machine; and the Dixie Mafia keeping his sexual harassment (and possibly worse) quiet.
Without those, even Perot wouldn't have been enough.
Reagan's biggest mistake was not the Immigration and Naturalization Act, but naming a RINO as VP. If he had chosen another conservative, we would have destroyed Communism *and* the American left in 2 Presidential Administrations.
Nice try, though.
Cheers!
The balloon goes up! How high will it go??? Good luck Hoffman!
If Hoffman carries, they’ll have helped one another!
This is emblematic opf why the Republican Establishment hates Sarah and why the grassroots love her.

I’m with her.
HEAR AND HEAR AGAIN!
I have gone stone deaf on Gingrich since the day he announced that hitlery clinton would make a “fine” president. No matter how much he talks now, I see his eyes rolling to the left. Same with Steele.
I don’t want no abortion loving, gay enabling, NEA endorsed, SEIU endorsed, WRO endorsed, RINO endorsed Republican in office no way, no how.
I just contributed to Hoffman. I will tell you what. Collins, Snowe, McCain, Graham, and Specter, et al, OUGHT to have taught these “middle of the road-kill” Repubs, that it doesn’t EVER matter if there is a R after their name.
They have so royally effed up and sucked all the oxygen out of what few REAL Conservative there are, and allowed this monster in the white tent to get so out of control, we can barely breathe on Cap Hill anymore.
If the Republican Party machine STILL doesn’t realize that this is a CONSERVATIVE country, then the republican party, as it stands now, does not deserve to exist.
This is indeed a fight for the soul of the party. If there is ANY chance for redemption, we need a revolt from within the party to dismantle the party apparatus, and get these RINOS out of positions of power.
It’s a damn shame we got to fight marxists dems, and marxist enablers within our own party. But if we don’t do it now, it’s over.
Damn Skippy!
Me too! Felt great. I would love to see the panic at Rino central when they see his coffers running over.
Gail Norton. And this in a year when we have a great shot at getting a conservative republican in the Gov. house. We’ll see at the caucauses!
