Breaking: Palin Supports Hoffman
The Weekly Standard ^ | October 22, 2009 08:17 PM | John McCormack

Posted on 10/22/2009 5:47:30 PM PDT by avg_freeper

THE WEEKLY STANDARD just received a statement from Sarah Palin endorsing conservative Doug Hoffman for Congress:

The people of the 23rd Congressional District of New York are ready to shake things up, and Doug Hoffman is coming on strong as Election Day approaches! He needs our help now.

The votes of every member of Congress affect every American, so it's important for all of us to pay attention to this important Congressional campaign in upstate New York. I am very pleased to announce my support for Doug Hoffman in his fight to be the next Representative from New York's 23rd Congressional district. It's my honor to endorse Doug and to do what I can to help him win, including having my political action committee, SarahPAC, donate to his campaign the maximum contribution allowed by law.

Our nation is at a crossroads, and this is once again a "time for choosing."

The federal government borrows, spends, and prints too much money, while our national debt hits a record high. Government is growing while the private sector is shrinking, and unemployment is on the rise. Doug Hoffman is committed to ending the reckless spending in Washington, D.C. and the massive increase in the size and scope of the federal government. He is also fully committed to supporting our men and women in uniform as they seek to honorably complete their missions overseas.

And best of all, Doug Hoffman has not been anointed by any political machine.

Doug Hoffman stands for the principles that all Republicans should share: smaller government, lower taxes, strong national defense, and a commitment to individual liberty.

Political parties must stand for something. When Republicans were in the wilderness in the late 1970s, Ronald Reagan knew that the doctrine of "blurring the lines" between parties was not an appropriate way to win elections. Unfortunately, the Republican Party today has decided to choose a candidate that more than blurs the lines, and there is no real difference between the Democrat and the Republican in this race. This is why Doug Hoffman is running on the Conservative Party's ticket.

Republicans and conservatives around the country are sending an important message to the Republican establishment in their outstanding grassroots support for Doug Hoffman: no more politics as usual.

You can help Doug by visiting his official website below and joining me in supporting his campaign:

This statement will be on Palin's Facebook page soon.

Just saw where the leftist are putting out a book with same “Going Rogue” title
the same day as Sarah’s book comes out but I’m having trouble getting back to Biggovernment.com

It has a similar look but Sarah’s fans will already know the real cover and most likely have already ordered it as I did.

We have to have some foothold, some beach, an ink spot to expand in the GOP. Palin, who said she would support conservatives over Party is really becoming a catalyst.

Right now I have a Berlin Wall Falling feeling.

Some thing’s up, it’s exciting.

Sarah Palin, quote;

"And best of all, Doug Hoffman has not been anointed by any political machine."

iacta alea est

I believe we have a bridgehead on the Rubicon.

Three cheers to Palin for the endorsement and especially for drawing a line in the sand between conservatism and the Republican Party establishment. I honestly don't know if she will ever be president, but I'll wager that she turns out to be our generation's Goldwater. Standing athwart the country-clubbers, yelling, "Stop!"

A fact that surprisingly gets little mention in discussions about the RINO attack on Hoffman is that the New York Conservative Party was founded by none other than William F. Buckley himself.

Hoffman, a Republican has the better chance of winning vs the gal and is ahead inn the polls.

this is different than voting for a wingnut third party type who is not ahead in the polls or could not beat the democrat

The time for the great purge has begun. The secret to conservatism is that is works every time its tried (thanks Rush). These DIABLOS just fall in love with the attention from the Drive By’s and lobbyists who will strip for votes.

Throw the DIABLOS out.

Either you are in favor of further government intrusion into people’s lives or you’re not.

Either you believe in redistribution of wealth or you don’t.

Either you believe in the slaughter of innocents for personal lifestyle convenience or you don’t (by the way, how much better would our economy and our nation be if we had those 40 million lives lost over the past 35 years)

The liberals want to destroy this nation and they are close enough to Mission Accomplished to drool. Either you will fight it and fight it hard, or you can jump to the other side and burn in hell with the rest of them.

It is time for a great purge, there are enough conservative independents and libertarians looking for some backbone to more than make up for the lost DIABLOS. Addition by subtraction my FRiends.

"If Hoffman wins this, she’s the new king maker."

She has already proven that by pulling Chambliss' fat out of the fire.

"And would have helped defeat an establishment Republican."

Sorry, but that old hag is no Republican.

America is not it's leaders. America is a group of individuals who dream and believe in freedom and independence. Yes, there are those who don't have those qualities who live here too, but they are not the majority.

Yeah, it would be nice to have a leader, but the fact is, we really don't need one, we grow em as we need em.

Keep it Republican if you are in a closed ballot state. It’s the only want to kick RINO’s off the ticket and get a conservative in their place.

They’re going to get their clocks cleaned.

I suspect that's true, and the country clubbers will whine and wait till it's to late, and lose this (and 2010) opportunity to gain enough seats to impede the Rat Marxist runaway train.

Actually, the title of the lefty book is “Going Rouge”.
Rouge is makeup. A cosmetic. Not only are they going for a look-alike book cover and name, it’s also a thinly veiled slam on her feminimity.

I just gave some money to Hoffman. Go Sarah!

Rouge also means “red” which fits the RATS perfectly.

"New York Conservative Party was founded by none other than William F. Buckley himself."

If Buckley were alive, he would be standing with Newt the nut, supporting Scuzza-Flabba.
