The "Oathkeepers" Need to Be Put in Check - Now (They (Dems) Are Getting Nervous)
Associated Content ^ | October 20, 2009 | Jeff Musall

What is on appearances possibly just another right wing publicity stunt is actually something that law enforcement and military commanders need to notice and to put in check. The "Oathkeepers" are a group supposedly dedicated to keeping the "Oath" to protect the Constitution. Fact is, they already took that oath, This new thing is an attempt to rile up disdain for the Obama Administration, masquerading as concern for American freedom.

Who are the "Oathkeepers?" Groups of law enforcement and military personnel who swear a new oath of allegiance to ideals put forth by the group, not by consent of the governed or as proscribed by the Constitution these "patriots" claim to be defending. Need convincing that they aren't just paramilitary malcontents who happen to be wearing uniforms? Look at their website.

On www.oathkeepers.org they list ten "Orders we will not obey" which include some admirable ideals. That some of what they espouse is admirable isn't in question. Of course every soldier has the obligation to fight orders which, for example, might constitute a war crime. Where the problems lie are with the motivations and perceptions of their place.

Look around the Oathkeepers site more and some troubling things show themselves. They say "We are not advocating violence" yet that is exactly the subtext of what is on the site. References aren't made to some possible threat to the Constitution in the future, but to the sitting government and their Commander in Chief, President Barack Obama.

The Oathkeepers are nothing more than an anti-Obama paramilitary group. And what they are doing should be reprimanded by their chain of command. To pledge to willfully obey orders is in direct conflict with the Uniform Code of Military Justice, or UCMJ. Some of what they suggest sounds like conspiracy to commit sedition.

Jeff Musall, you don't need to fear the OathKeepers unless your guys intend tyranny.

In which case, then fear us.

Oh, and Jeff? You'd be on the list.

Love,

Laz

“When the people fear the government you have tyranny, when government fears the people you have liberty” Thomas Jefferson

“A people unwilling to use extreme violent force to obtain or preserve their liberty deserves the tyrant that rules them.”

conspiracy to commit sedition.

Those laws were pretty much discarded almost 100 years ago.

That’s deplorable.

I wonder if there’s a place for an old sub sailor in that outfit?

Not that I’d support that kind of thing, mind you. Just wondering if they’d have a need.

It is not just the oath keepers that they should be concerned about.

I totally respect the Oathkeepers and if it is necessary for them to act, they will have a LOT of HELP.

That is a Promise.

Most revolutions start in the military of a country. Why should we be any different?

I only hope that someone stands against tyranny in this country!

Except, of course, if the order comes from obama.

“Oath takers” are American patriots. The present crop of aging hippies in the White House, the Bureaus and Congress are the same dope smoking pony tail moronic Maoist fools I knew in the 1960s when going to school —only older!

These punks are going to get their butts kicked if they try to overthrow the Republic with corrupt laws or phony Court rulings.

Libtards have reason to be afraid. They are the Criminals and justice is coming.

So I'm guessing they really won't be happy about the death squads.

Jeff Musall

"Heretics, US" is the introductory novel from Jeff Musall

http://outskirtspress.com/webpage.php?ISBN=159800588X

He currently lives near Portland, Oregon with his wonderful wife, Oksana.

The novel comes from very strong feelings about where America is heading and the future of democracy.

Hey, Jeff: you and your fellow pinko jagoffs are doing more than conspiring to commit sedition, you're actively engaged in it, and we're not going to take your tyrannical BS lying down. You're the bugs, and we're the windshield. Capiche?
