House Ways & Means Committee Chairman Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.) held a hearing this morning to certify that H.R. 3200 -- the main House Obamacare bill which was the subject of all the town hall rage in August -- has met all requirements to pass as a budget reconciliation measure.
Under reconciliation, the bill can be passed by a simple majority vote in the Senate -- just 51 votes -- and will be given preferential treatment on the House floor as well. The Dems have apparently invoked the nuclear option to shut out Republicans and ensure the bill is passed before the end of the year. (see link for more....)

If we’re going to craft a new Constitution, or tweak the current one, there definitely needs to be a clause on term limits for members of Congress. For all of the insight into human nature the founding fathers had, somehow they missed the temptation of politicians to remain in power.
McCain is most likely snuggling with Lindsay Graham as they both tell Glenn Beck and other Conservatives to shut up.
Classic components of Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
correct
two soldiers lost their lives
F16 crashed pilot missing
Iran going nuclear
No korea acting up
Islamist nutters still out to kill us
money taken away from the military
spending out of control
and the news we get is about the family in CO.
the media are not telling the public because they are out to protect him and the Dems.
This take over has been ion the works for years, they learned form Moa, Hitler and how he stopped using violence to take over after his jail time.
They learned from Stalin and most of all they learned from Ayers and, Alinsky , Karl Marx who said that violence was never going to get their agenda passed and spread and instead they would have to get into positions of power and influence.
For years Soros, Ayers and others have been planning this, getting their people into those positions ready for bozo going public and that chance happened at the Dem convention when the so called media went overboard with the coverage.
Course trying to explain why so many radicals are in then white house they cannot and the so called media do not try to find out about it but instead cover it up or twist it if the story does get out like Van Jones
they have nothing to fear because like the last election it has been rigged by over loading the system so much it is hard to even grasp for the public or to count how many votes were frauds.
The public think this is America it could not happen here but the sad fact is that it is happening wit the help of the so called media.
I was thinking we could bring back Ostracism.
Yep! Two term limit for all federal politicians AND Judges who will be ELECTED at all levels to include the Supremes.
—Some other ideas....
- Franchise (The right to vote and hold office) limited to whose who can pass a 12th Grade Civics Exam given ONLY in English and to those who are native born Americans.
- There shall be a separation of the ECONOMY and the STATE.
- No federal funds shall be allowed for EDUCATION except for veterans.
Obama is a classic model of the PSYCHOPATH. The things you mention are part of the personality disorder.
“If what I’ve said be TREASON - Then I’ll make the most of it!” - thank you, Patrick Henry for using your quotation.
Mark Steyn has it right. Once they get nationalized health care in place they have shifted the relationship between citizen and government in such a way that all future political battles will be fought on their ground. Nationalized health care means the end of real conservatism as a likely viable alternative. We already see this in our politics.
Even under Reagan government did NOT shrink (at best he held the line) and under every other government regardless of the party in power the government has grown. It has grown because government keeps expanding entitlements and reducing the role of taxpayers thus creating a dependent class of voters that will reliably vote for larger government out of self interest. Today that body of government dependents is at just about 50% and pushing health care through will make that number a virtual 100%.
Given the stakes and the huge advantage the left gains I can see them as being willing to accept a wipe-out in 2010 and even 2012 because after that, if socialized medicine remains a fact (and I am sure they believe they will be able to block any attempt to repeal it) they will have domiinance for as far as the eye can see. We are dealing with ideologues here - not just the usual run of political animal seeking perpetual reelection - but people who are true believers and willing to take a hit if they can advance their agenda.
It will take heavy involvement by the opposition to halt this and even then it may not be enough.
Let them try it, see what happens. Court challenges, refusal to pay, tax revolts, and maybe more. If they do it, people are going to rise up and they will regret it. They will lose the house and senate in 2010. I know many Dems that don’t even want public option. It’s MO and Rahm and the progressive Pinkos that want it.
The can only collect it if you pay it.
Be afraid. Be very afraid.
_________
I’m not afraid, but they should be. I’ve made up my mind. I will not pay a single cent toward this health care crap or cap and trade. If I have to move, I will.
You, sir, are exactly right. While many talking heads say things like “If this bill passes then the citizens will revolt and kick them all out in 2010!” I say, horsehockey! Americans by and large are either too dumb or have memories too short. We’re going to be stuck with many of the same scum in congress we have now.
ALL republicans walk out of congress.
With out ANY opposition members, there can be no Quorum. No Quorum, no vote. No vote, no bill.
BINGO- Let's email/call every republican and DEMAND they do it

I agree.
Once upon a time, I was invited to the White House for a private dinner with the President. I am a respected businessman, with a factory that produces memory chips for computers and portable electronics. There was some talk that my industry was being scrutinized by the administration, but I paid it no mind. I live in a free country. There’s nothing that the government can do to me if I’ve broken no laws. My wealth was earned honestly, and an invitation to dinner with an American President is an honor I checked my coat, was greeted by the Chief of Staff, and joined the President in a yellow dining room.
We sat across from each other at a table draped in white linen. The Great Seal was embossed on the china. Uniformed staff served our dinner. The meal was served, and I was startled when my waiter suddenly reached out, plucked a dinner roll off my plate, and began nibbling it as he walked back to the kitchen. “Sorry about that,” said the President. “Andrew is very hungry.” “I don’t appreciate...” I began, but as I looked into the calm brown eyes across from me, I felt immediately guilty and petty. It was just a dinner roll. “Of course,” I concluded, and reached for my glass. Before I could, however, another waiter reached forward, took the glass away and swallowed the wine in a single gulp. “And his brother Eric is very thirsty.” said the President.
The President is testing my compassion, I thought. I will play along. I don’t want to seem unkind. My plate was whisked away before I had tasted a bite. “Eric’s children are also quite hungry.” With a lurch, I crashed to the floor. My chair had been pulled out from under me. I stood, brushing myself off angrily, and watched as it was carried from the room. “And their grandmother can’t stand for long.” I excused myself, smiling outwardly, but inside feeling like a fool. Obviously I had been invited to the White House to be sport for some game.
I reached for my coat, to find that it had been taken. I turned back to the President.”Their grandfather doesn’t like the cold.” I wanted to shout- that was my coat! But again, I looked at the placid smiling face of my host and decided I was being a poor sport. I spread my hands helplessly and chuckled. Then I felt my hip pocket and realized my wallet was gone. I excused myself and walked to a phone on an elegant side table. I learned shortly that my credit cards had been maxed out, my bank accounts emptied, my retirement and equity portfolios had vanished, and my wife had been thrown out of our home. Apparently, the waiters and their families were moving in.
The President hadn’t moved or spoken as I learned all this, but finally I lowered the phone into its cradle and turned to face him. “Andrew’s whole family has made bad financial decisions. They haven’t planned for retirement, and they need a house. They recently defaulted on a subprime mortgage. I told them they could have your home. They need it more than you do.” My hands were shaking. I felt faint. I stumbled back to the table and knelt on the floor.
The President cheerfully cut his meat, ate his steak and drank his wine. I lowered my eyes and stared at the small grey circles on the tablecloth that were water drops.”By the way,” He added, “I have just signed an Executive Order nationalizing your factories. I’m firing you as head of your business. I’ll be operating the firm now for the benefit of all mankind. There’s a whole bunch of Erics and Andrews out there and they can’t come to you for jobs groveling like beggars.” I looked up. The President dropped his spoon into the empty ramekin which had been his creme brulee. He drained the last drops of his wine. As the table was cleared, he lit a cigarette and leaned back in his chair. He stared at me. I clung to the edge of the table as if were a ledge and I were a man hanging over an abyss.
I thought of the years behind me, of the life I had lived. The life I had earned with a lifetime of work, risk and struggle. Why was I punished? How had I allowed it to be taken? What game had I played and lost? I looked across the table and noticed with some surprise that there was no game board between us. What had I done wrong? As if answering the unspoken thought, the President suddenly cocked his head, locked his empty eyes to mine, and bared a million teeth, chuckling wryly as he folded his hands he said:”You should have stopped me at the dinner roll”
Yes we do. This healthcare bill, soon amnesty, then gun control, the "Fairness Doctrine", more "spread the wealth", reparations, "monitoring" of "domestic terrorists", more voter fraud, more financial collapse, higher taxes, more government rules and regulations - all meant to destroy America as we knew it. We can't let that happen! The 9/12 March in DC was a good start. Everyone get involved and Flip Congress in 2010! . . or can we make it to 2010? What's our tipping point?
