Judge Land Fines Orly Taitz $20K, File Copy of Order with State Bar of CA
United States District Court (Georgia) ^ | 10/13/2009 | Judge Clay Land

Posted on 10/13/2009 7:45:31 AM PDT by BuckeyeTexan

When a lawyer files complaints and motions without a reasonable basis for believing that they are supported by existing law or a modification or extension of existing law, that lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law. When a lawyer uses the courts as a platform for a political agenda disconnected from any legitimate legal cause of action, that lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law. When a lawyer personally attacks opposing parties and disrespects the integrity of the judiciary, that lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law. When a lawyer recklessly accuses a judge of violating the Judicial Code of Conduct with no supporting evidence beyond her dissatisfaction with the judge’s rulings, that lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law. When a lawyer abuses her privilege to practice law, that lawyer ceases to advance her cause or the ends of justice.

-snip-

Regrettably, the conduct of counsel Orly Taitz has crossed these lines, and Ms. Taitz must be sanctioned for her misconduct. After a full review of the sanctionable conduct, counsel’s conduct leading up to that conduct, and counsel’s response to the Court’s show cause order, the Court finds that a monetary penalty of $20,000.00 shall be imposed upon counsel Orly Taitz as punishment for her misconduct, as a deterrent to prevent future misconduct, and to protect the integrity of the Court. Payment shall be made to the United States, through the Middle District of Georgia Clerk’s Office, within thirty days of today’s Order. If counsel fails to pay the sanction due, the U.S. Attorney will be authorized to commence collection proceedings.

Your NEED to twist w/what was said is a liberal tactic. Since I deal in Truth, those tactics make me puke. Therefore, bucko, don’t EVER POST TO ME again! Got that? I couldn’t make it any simpler, so I trust that it is not over your head in understanding.

How about an Indonesian school record indicating place of birth?

What are Orly’s appeal options? Anyone know??

She won't be paying this donkey @$$ any time soon. Appeal his sanction along with appealing his decision.

She can, I believe, appeal the sanctions, but she can't appeal the underlying decision. Only Rhodes (or a lawyer hired by Rhodes) can appeal the underlying decisiont.

“I understand that but that is also in the courts.”

And I understand that but thus far its 20 court cases denied or dismissed plus Supreme Court justices Souter, Kennedy, Scalia, and Roberts denying full hearings to cases challenging eligibility at the Supreme Court.

It’s not a certified document or legal, but if that’s all there was, we might have to go on it. Unfortunately, the balding vital records chick in HI said they have his original bc.

I believe it's already trampled on and continues to be. But you stating 'for the sole purpose of getting ONE MAN' is really downplaying this, IMO, BIG TIME!

So if you trample on it in return then where are you any better than he?

More documention than what? What has he produced that you believe his natural born citizen status has been met according to the Constitution?

What law outlines what he's required to provide? And who he must provide it to?

Make up new laws? Why? What about following what we already have - The Constitution?

How has he violated it. The Constitution says the president must be a natural-born citizen. Obama says he is. Case closed, right?

Why are you so convinced about his NB status when BO has spent more than 1M+ to deceive you.

What law or clause in the Constitution says that I personally must be convinced of his status?

Why do his lawyers in CA want this case dismissed? Dismissed for what reason?

Lack of jurisdiction. Lack of standing. And a couple of other reasons. It's right there in the motion to dismiss.

WHO is 'we'? And what is there to understanding?

Rational people. And understand how the law works and what the Constitution says.

I find it interesting how you consider BO as "ONE MAN" and label an attorney searching for truth a 'bonehead'.

I find it interesting that you can look at Orly's antics and not conclude she's a bonehead.

Now can you see why you need to defend yourself from being called a troll?

I have never felt the need to defend myself from Birther name-calling. I just consider the source.

He provided record after record and a Birth Certificiate.

Sigh. If I had a penny for every time this birther myth gets reposted, I would be rich.

McCain never made his birth certificate public. All he did was show it to a single Washington post reporter. He never showed it to the Senate committee, and he never posted an image of it on the internet.

No, the image floating around on the internet of birth certificate from a hospital in Colon that is proported to be McCain's is not real. It was forged and posted by a Mr. Hollander, and it was reputiated by McCain and his lawyers.

I’m not sure how you can say those records have nothing to do with her defense. The judge specifically alleges that she brought this with knowledge it had no merit. That is a fact-rich posit and cannot reasonably be undone without reference to the underlying documentary evidence. There might be a toe-hold here.

Your post is well worth reading -- Thank You.

Maybe the Indonesian school record listed Honolulu as a place of birth to qualify Obama for a foreign scholarship to the Indonesian school.

If by "donkey @ss" you mean a Democrat, you're wrong-- Judge Land was a conservative Republican State Senator before George W. Bush appointed him a judge on the recommendation of Saxby Chambliss.

And, while the order is appealable, filing an appeal doesn't stop her obligation to pay the fine within 30 days (although she gets it back if she wins the appeal), unless the Court of Appeals grants her a stay.

Obama’s registration form from the school (St. Fransiskus Assisi) that he attended in Jakarta, Indonesia says that he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4, 1961.

Sigh! And you ignored the rest of the post? I know that one is fake.

I worked with Polarik on it and told him why I thought it was a fake.

Does Barry O. having no public record to examine bother you?

You did forget that we do have the public records of the other candidates or didn’t you?

Taitz is going down the same bad road as that videogame crusader a few years back. Thompson?

Jack Thompson-- or "Batman Jack," as he was known during his brief tenure as a Freeper (he got banned for threatening to sue the mods for deleting some of his wackier posts).

Yes, he did the same thing Orly is doing-- making wild accusations against judges who ruled against him. He wound up getting disbarred.

Yeah, but that document only counts as proof of adoption, not proof of birthplace.

What makes Obama different from all those other Presidential contenders whose citizenship wasn't questioned in the same fashion?

McCain's was. Hollander v. McCain, Federal District Court, Concord, New Hampshire.

Dismissed for lack of standing.

Right about only appealing the sanction because the plaintiff “supposedly” pulled out...I was thinking about, at that moment, of the Hemenway appealed decision and his sanction from the “I Twittered it” judge.
