Pandas face a difficult future, despite great efforts to preserve them. With their dwindling population, shrinking habitat, and weakening genetic strength, one evolutionist has suggested that these longstanding symbols of the World Wildlife Federation (WWF) should be allowed to die out...

Whatta letdown.
They were small, dirty, and smelled bad. There were two in the "habitat", and they were fighting with each other.
What's projected by WWF (cute, cuddly, fuzzy), and reality ....are two separate things.
If you really, really believe in evolution, it won’t happen in your lifetime...
Since our hateful western culture is responsible for all death, why not let the Chinese figure this one out. What with their meditation and nature-worship culture and all.
Oh.
Wait.
They are the ones who have occupied for thousands of years the only natural panada habitat...
Maybe the native American indians could be asked to solve this one?
Best thing we could possibly do for the panda population would be to convince people they taste great as burgers, steaks, and hot dogs.
It’s funny how the left is all for evolution when the topic is religion, but not so much when the subject is extinction.
Feed ‘em to the whales.
>> lets see....out of thousands of species of bamboo that grow on this planet they will eat only seven, they are too ill-tempered and solitary to tolerate one another even long enough to mate, and their newborns are the size of a mouse leading to a high mother-rollover-crush rate. Id say we are not able to KEEP these things from going extinct. <<
I would say that the existence of such a useless fragile large animal is absolute proof that evolution is a process. Because I can’t believe a competent creator could invent such a “crap-sack” animal. Either that or God was busy hitting the Sacramental wine a bit too hard when he magicked up the Giant Panda.
They eat only bamboo which is a poor poor food source when it comes to calorie and vitamin content, their milk is more watered down than 1% milk. They can only pop out a pup or two per reproduction cycle. They crush their own young under their girth. They are pretty much a cute to look at but evolutionary dead end.
The only way we could save these creatures is to breed them to be smaller and breed them to change their diet to something more substantive. Maybe convert them back to being carnivores or omnivores. Through domestication and artificial dwarfing (see chihuahuas and teacup poodles) we may be able to “save” the species, but not in it’s current miserable state.
We actually have two programs to make liberals extinct....gay marriage and abortion.
So I suggest panda burgers !

They are cute, cuddly, and entertaining at the San Diego Zoo. There are people to keep the viewing line moving because everyone wants to stay and watch them.
But Packhams idea is actually quite consistent with an evolutionary view that natural processes should be allowed to take their course, since nature knows best.
—I dont know where he got such metaphysical mumbo-jumbo, but nature doesnt know anything. Thats like saying that if a can is about to fall and hit your foot that you should let it happen and let nature take its course because gravity knows best. Evolution is just a scientific theory. Its not a command’ or ‘obligation’ to do or not do something. Gravity isnt commanding you to knock your monitor off your desk it just describes what would occur if you in fact did knock your monitor off your desk. Evolution describes what would occur if certain members of a population breed and others dont.
Evolution, a system founded on continual cycles of death in which the less fit perish, provides no room for sentimentality over the loss of a weak species.
—Why?
If evolution is true and if humans are really nothing more than the end products of colliding molecules, winners of a Darwinian lottery,4 then why should they care if some species dont make it?
—Because we like them?
My six-year old daughter LOVES pandas and she blames the Chinese Communists for their near extinction. Pandas have made her a virulent anti-Communist. :)
LOL
Something tells me she has a very responsible parent at home :o)
I was gonna post that graphic if it wasn’t here already.
