I actually went to the DC Zoo as a kid (this was a looooong time ago) to see the pandas.

Whatta letdown.

They were small, dirty, and smelled bad. There were two in the "habitat", and they were fighting with each other.

What's projected by WWF (cute, cuddly, fuzzy), and reality ....are two separate things.

They are cute, cuddly, and entertaining at the San Diego Zoo. There are people to keep the viewing line moving because everyone wants to stay and watch them.

The Pandas here at the San Diego Zoo all 4 are clean black and white. The zoo here has a great area for them and a bldg. for research and study of Pandas.
