WARSAW — The United States aims to establish missile bases in Poland, after having scrapped plans fiercely opposed by Russia to deploy a missile shield in the country, a Polish newspaper reported Friday.
Citing Polish diplomatic sources who spoke on condition of anonymity, Gazeta Wyborcza said Washington aimed to set up a permanent short- and medium-range missile base as well as deploy mobile missile batteries.
The plan is set to take shape within days, said Gazeta Wyborcza, a leading daily that is considered well informed on the issue.
It said Andrzej Kremer, Poland's deputy foreign minister, was due to travel to Washington on Monday.

The thing is... How does Obama’s actions in Poland, his planned actions now in Afghanistan, and his statements regarding disarming flush with this move? I can only think that at this point Obama is pulling stuff out of thin air, trying to appease EVERYONE and their mothers. I’ve got news for him — it WON’T WORK — never has, and never will.

Putin and the Russians just relaxed about the missile shield and were about to agree to sanctions and now we blind side the Russians - who are paranoid as it is - with something to justify their paranoia?

Never thought about that, RE: Biden... Although I highly doubt everyone is on the same page in the administration. It seems that they way they are running things in Washington nowadays is to assign someone to a specific situation, and then let them do whatever they think is best giving no thought to ramifications of the others doing whatever they think is best.
Of course, what we may be seeing here is the disconnect between our military and the executive branch. I wouldn’t put it past Obama to say one thing to our military leaders, have them make plans with these other countries, and then turn around and say he changed his mind to ruin the credibility of ANY of our military leaders... (Hope that made sense. I’m having trouble putting exactly what I mean into words on this.)

What I still can’t figure out myself is who Obama is more loyal to — his communist friends, or his fanatic terrorist friends... Maybe his idea is just to confuse the heck out of all of them so they don’t know what they hell he’s going to do next? I mean that MIGHT honestly scare the heck out of some, but the Soviets will NOT play that game... They will not have any compunction about attacking us either through their backhanded economic support of terrorist organizations, their open support of terrorist regimes like Iran, or their Communist buddies to our South. They could care less about Obama himself, as long as their goal to cripple America is realized. Obama stupidly thinks they support him — just another sign that his mother never taught him what communists do to each OTHER in a quest to be the “top dog”.
That totally does NOT make sense given Obama’s position on nuclear weapons - he’s pushing for a complete disarmament. Obama, and his cohorts do NOT believe in MAD, OR Peace through Strength doctrines.

But you are on to something. Russia is hostile to the USA but it is hostile from a nationalist standpoint rather than a communist stand point. Thus as closed border nationalists they are not on board with Obama's 'we are the world' agenda. Thus the Russians are a threat to Obama's plans?
