'This is an issue where the federal government has no business'
Montana statehouse
Supporters of a first-of-a-kind law in Montana that declared weapons or ammunition made and kept in the state were exempt from federal rules are preparing for a court challenge to the federal government's insistence it will regulate those items.
The Montana Shooting Sports Association and the Second Amendment Foundation have formed a strategic alliance with plans to litigate over the Montana Firearms Freedom Act.
The bill was passed by the 2009 Montana Legislature and signed into law by Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer.

In addition, most of these state will be among those that separate from the USA and become part of a separate Conservative nation.
A P.S. The three west coast states would be cut off from their eastern liberal-state comrades! How sweet it is...
Especially if they use the ATF’s own insane determinations as to what constitutes “construction” against the ATF.
Popcorn time...

Bump to the top!
Treasure State Patriots in Big Sky country!
The bho administration would draw a perforated line across the Constitution if they could get away with it.
The bho administration will fight Montana over this and lose everything.
Hey... Watch what you call us Eastern States. Geographically, 90%+ of our state is conservative. They (the libs) can keep Phila & Pittsburgh
What would happen? Civil War II?
I believe not. It's a different time; different thinking; different feelings; different politics.
Revolutionary War II? Again,...too many differences.
Most likely the Fedgov would have to give in. Does anyone really believe that the Military, under orders of the Executive Branch, would KILL their own families in this era? This is not the 1800's - never happen.
Plus, the Governors of any rebellious States could maintain control over their State National Guard, not to mention the 100's of thousands of armed Patriots standing by. RWII will not happen as long as the States continue on this path.
I am finally encouraged for our Republic to see so many States (37?) passing resolutions regarding States' rights via the 10th Amendment. Although resolutions are non-binding, it says a lot about the current thinking of the individual States.
This is a cause we should all support! This is our way back to the Founding Fathers' brilliance for limited federal governance.

BTW, I'm a Navy Vet too! ~big grin~
It's not going to be a shooting revolution, but revolution is in the air!
No doubt, hair, teeth and eyeballs... but, I agree - bho loses.
Yes, it is. This State law could be either the way back to our FF's ideals or the issue that ignites a backlash against the USSC.
I only hope the Supremes have the wisdom to negate the abused "commerce clause" and recognize States' rights regarding this issue. If not - IT'S ON!
I'm standing by. I will not end my life a subject of the United States of Socialist Republic.

Health Care Reform is another bridge to die on for Freedom’s Defenders.
The Federal Government has taken many powers unto itself it doesn’t have, through the Interstate Commerce clause and no doubt other dubious claims. So this isn’t a new phenomenon but boy is it ever picking up steam and thundering downhill like a juggernaut now.
They have no right to force me to buy an insurance product, or right to design an insurance product either in the private or public sector which I’m forced into by hook or crook, nor right to fine me through my bank account or through the IRS withholding and refusal to refund if I don’t acquiesce to their insurance schemes.
My state must defend the right of all state citizens to retain these rights granted to us by the Constitution.
Whatever it takes to defend us.
I beleive both of you are wrong.
I hope both of you are right, but I just see things differantly.
I hope we stay on the same side.
Good Luck!
but, these loons are going to try it. They know not what they are messing with.
Expect to see more than a million, with ropes (with nooses already formed,) standing outside the doors of Congress.
What three west coast states! Only the main metropolitan cities are blue, not the rural areas.
There are probably more liberals in the State of Colorado than there are in the State of Washington!
As long as the individual States keep on this path, a "shooting revolution" will not happen, and God hope not.
Even if such push came to shove, I can't imagine the Military killing their own family. As I said above, it's a different time. Plus, it's known that the Military is not happy with current and past politics. It just won't happen.
However, voting has become a waste of time in many places. The two parties are of similar mind. States' rights is our way out of this socialist mess. We need to encourage our local and State authorities to nullify the obscene Fedgov mandates!
What could the Fedgov actually do about it? I say nothing! The politicians will jack their jaws on the floor of Congress and give their speeches, while the States could just ignore them and say, "We won't follow your un-Constitutional mandates and we will stop sending you our tax dollars. Whatcha gonna do obambi, reid, pelosi? What?"
Of course, it will take a number (not sure how many) of State governors with some b*lls to do such. But think if they did. There would be no recourse for the Fedgov other than force...that wouldn't happen today. They would just be plain screwed while wandering around the halls of the Capitol and the White House, thinking where did our socialist plans go wrong and what do we do now?
Think about it.
