"He is stupid if he doesnt." He will surely identify himself as the last Democrat patriot, if he does - which is probably why he won't.

Would a Panetta replacement have to be confirmed by the Senate?

I can tell you one thing: I trust the CIA more than any other government agency. I think that Panetta is the least like Obama in his admin. I think that Panetta realizes that the job the CIA takes on is far above that of politics and it must not be subject to political crap. If Panetta resigns, it will send a powerful message to the people.

For a partisan hack like Panetta to resign, he must feel that Obama is out of control. A small show of humanity and sanity from a long time liberal. That is, if true.

Does he lose the CIA pension? Somehow I doubt it.

I am not shocked — he got really mad when he heard this might happen according to press reports. There is also a report that he is not going to be the last that wants to get out of this Administration in the near term.

"lets see....didnt a CIA director die in a canoeing accident?" Panetta should stay out of Ft. Marcy Park, at all cost, not to mention the avoidance of any air travel to Croatia.

You nailed it. I was appalled when this commie was appointed to head up CIA. That he is resigning indicates how bad things are and are getting in the administration.

I thought it was a complete joke to appoint Panetta, but anyone that is against Obama on the CIA interrogations I gotta give props to.

He was never quite as evil as his party leaders. Who would want to lead the CIA with the CIA’s sworn enemies - communists - having infiltrated the Executive Branch.
It seems he kicked it off to cooperate in the persecution of agents by claiming falsely the CIA had an operative assination program. Now he has cold feet.

Do you think the CIA has the true facts about where 0bammy was born?

Would a Panetta replacement have to be confirmed by the Senate? In the old days ( before Obama ) then yes. These days you never know how things will come down considering the left just ignores laws and rules that are inconvenient to them.

I used to lump all Libs into one basket.
I have learned that their are differences between Libs and Progressives. Leon's resignation may show that... I would have some respect for, but still not agree with, a Lib who truly believes their path is the best for the country.
I have NO respect for a Progressive that is intent on pushing us towards Socialism/Fascism.

lets see....didnt a CIA director die in a canoeing accident? I'm not sure it was a director, but he was definitely a higher up.
In any case, I'd be surprised if Panetta resigns, but you never know. However, with this publicity, I don't think even Obama would dare to reach out and touch him. Not yet, at least, until he has put his own totally glued-to-his-rump boy in the slot.

Leon surpised me with his seemingly honest role in the Jay Report investigating sexual abuse in the Catholic Church. Who knows? Perhaps a bit of integrity remains under the corrupt exterior of some of these people.

Smart move. Ostammer and his thugs sandbagged him. He’s not one of their insider Marxist buddies.
