Chris Matthews has used the passing of Ted Kennedy to paint opponents of Pres. Obama as a pool of potential assassins.
Participating in a panel discussion on Morning Joe today, Matthews asserted that there was a hateful environment in the Dallas of 1963 in which President Kennedy was assassinated that is "like the mood we're in now."

More false history from Chrissy. He was a pimple faced 17 yo going to an all boys Roman Catholic high school in November of 1963.
Lee Harvey Oswald was a liberal nutcase looking for attention. Initially he tried to be a spy for our side but his language skills were not adequate. He was a Marine at that time. He eventually was granted a hardship discharge based on false info about caring for his Mom. After discharge he sought attention by first defecting to Russia then defecting back. Next by advocating for communism, specifically Fidel Castro’s Cuba, this time from American soil. He garnered some local TV interviews by passing out pro Castro literature on the streets of New Orleans but never really became an all out player. Until he moved to Dallas and the stars aligned for the sick bastard. Kennedy’s motorcade was going to pass just below his place of employment. So he brought a rifle to work and shot Kennedy from a window at work. He finally got the attention he wanted.

The left was able to silence some radio personalities immediately; they used the FCC "Fairness Doctrine" to threaten the licenses of station owners to try to silence the rest.

That thought has crossed my mind frequently. The media is constantly pushing how many death threats Obama receives and the Left uses that to incite racial hatred. The fires are stoked daily and it is inconceivable what would become of this country should some mishap occur regardless of the perpetrator.
My hope is that The One (including his family) leaves office after his one term in perfect, vibrant health. Unfortunately, our country will have suffered for those 4 years, but the damage should be somewhat reparable.

It was Kennedy who vaulted Obama over the Clintons. He definitely is his heir.
By now, she is probably only a dim, unimportant memory in the minds of those family members still living, a poor, unlucky creature who just happened to be caught up in events and Camelotian times larger than her humdrum secretarial life.
This is only one sidebar in the twilight zone that continues to surround the death of Mary Jo Kopechne, another one of the Kennedy clan's innumerable evaporated victims, dead or still alive.
I have as much respect for the Kopechne family as I have for the Kennedy family.
