WASHINGTON (CNN) The Democratic National Committee released a sharply-worded statement Tuesday accusing Republicans of colluding with "K Street Lobbyists" to incite "angry mobs" of extremists to disrupt health care town halls in congressional districts around the country.
Full statement as released by DNC spokesman Brad Woodhouse:
The Republicans and their allied groups desperate after losing two consecutive elections and every major policy fight on Capitol Hill are inciting angry mobs of a small number of rabid right wing extremists funded by K Street Lobbyists to disrupt thoughtful discussions about the future of health care in America taking place in Congressional Districts across the country.
...these mobs of extremists are not interested in having a thoughtful discussion about the issues but like some Republican leaders have said they are interested in breaking the President and destroying his Presidency...
The right wing extremists use of things like devil horns on pictures of our elected officials, hanging members of Congress in effigy, breathlessly questioning the President's citizenship and the use of Nazi SS symbols and the like just shows how outside of the mainstream the Republican Party and their allies are...

The DNC is trashing Bill Ayers, ACORN, Daily Kos and DU, now?
” but like some Republican leaders have said they are interested in breaking the President and destroying his Presidency...”
Ahhhhh!
That would be a great thing, given that this anti-American president is out to destroy America.
“The right wing extremists use of things like devil horns on pictures of our elected officials, hanging members of Congress in effigy, breathlessly questioning the President's citizenship and the use of Nazi SS symbols and the like just shows how outside of the mainstream the Republican Party and their allies are...”
Naaaah.

Democrat staffers and activists also asked the questions at the “debates”.
Who Runs Government
Path to Power
Woodhouse was born into a political family in Raleigh, N.C. His parents both worked for North Carolina Gov. Terry Sanford (D) in the 1960s, and they were even married in the governors mansion. His mother was the governors personal secretary and his father ran Sanfords youth college campus effort during the governors campaign.
Americans United to Protect Social Security became Americans United for Change (AUC), and Woodhouse became a political consultant for Hildebrand-Tewes Consulting, run by Democratic operatives Steve Hildebrand and Paul Tewes.
After the presidential campaign, Woodhouse returned to Americans United and began to run issue campaigns to help the president pass his $800 billion stimulus package.
The DNC is not just about party operations or trying to win elections, Woodhouse said. Obviously, thats still a major goal, but with Democrats in control of both houses of Congress and the White House, the organization is much more focused on helping the president pass his agenda.
When Obama came to Washington, he brought with him a massive political apparatus that Democratic operatives want to employ in the service of the presidents agenda.
The group, dubbed Organizing for America (OFA), is housed at the DNC and boasts an e-mail list of 13 million people plus thousands of volunteers. There has never been a resource like this available to any party, Woodhouse said.
The DNCs first goal was to get the presidents budget passed. Somewhere down the line, there will be substantive efforts on health care, education, reducing dependence on foreign oil, Woodhouse said, describing the budget as a down payment.
In lobbying for the stimulus, DNC strategists used not only OFAs infrastructure, but also internet ads, letters to the editor, meetings with members of Congress, petition drives and more.
In a certain sense, Woodhouses DNC work is very similar to what he did with Americans United. Woodhouse joined that group early in 2005 to fight President George W. Bushs proposal to allow people to take money dedicated to Social Security and invest it themselves. It was a plan almost universally opposed by Democrats, but Americans United ran a campaign to convince Republican congressmen it was a bad idea.
While Bush traveled the country doing town-hall meetings about Social Security, Americans United followed him to organize protests and rallies. The group ran TV ads and earned media and encouraged citizens to call their congressman. It was a campaign just like you would expect in any political campaign, Woodhouse said.
Woodhouse has a lot of White House connections as well (even outside of Dillons husband Patrick, the deputy director of political affairs in the White House).
Woodhouse worked with Obama press secretary Robert Gibbs in the late 1990s in Rep. Bobby Etheridges (D-N.C.) office. While at Americans United, he also worked closely with Jim Messina against President George W. Bushs attempt to move part of Social Security into private accounts. Messina, who was chief of staff for Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mt.), the ranking Democrat on the Finance Committee, was a key player in that debate and is now deputy chief of staff for Obama.
Woodhouse also worked at the consulting firm of Paul Tewes and Steve Hildebrand, both Obama advisers, and he knows deputy Obama communications director Dan Pfeiffer from 2004, when Woodhouse worked for the DSCC and Pfeiffer was working for Tom Daschles re-election campaign.

DNC reacts: Palin decision ‘continues a pattern of bizarre behavior’
WASHINGTON (CNN) The Democratic National Committee immediately slammed Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s decision to leave office early.
DNC Spokesman Brad Woodhouse:
“Either Sarah Palin is leaving the people of Alaska high and dry to pursue her long shot national political ambitions or she simply can’t handle the job now that her popularity has dimmed and oil revenues are down. Either way her decision to abandon her post and the people of Alaska who elected her continues a pattern of bizarre behavior that more than anything else may explain the decision she made today.”
I have had enough of this scare tactic rabid right wing extremist alisky tactic.
I have spoken to MANY people that voted for 0bama, dems independents... that are ticked off about obamacare beyond belief and very upset they voted for him.
Considering the long-time flaccidity of elected Republicans, it’s not surprising that the DNC is taken aback by even the mildest signs of dissent.
They are collapsing upon themselves and the whole party is spiralling into a black hole of their own making.
next 0bama will come after me for not using spell check

Making nice to the Washington establishment just doesn't work, especially since WE are the people who are paying their bills and NOT the welfare recipients.
The tables have been turned.

Brad Woodhouse is a NASTY piece of work. He is also a LIAR.

They are scared sh*tless. Their response shows it. We should step up our vilification. It’s working.
How is that ‘stimulus’ working out for you and Obama, Brad Woodhouse?!

THE BIG QUESTION, Jan. 30 Brad Woodhouse
The Big Question for Friday, Jan. 30:
Politically, was it a good move or a blunder for House Republicans to vote en bloc against President Obamas stimulus package?
Brad Woodhouse, president of Americans United for Change, said:
By voting against the economic recovery package, Republicans appear to have learned nothing from the message sent to all of our elected officials in the most recent election that its time to set partisan games, politics and ideology aside and work for bold solutions to the daunting challenges facing the American people. Rather than address the most severe economic crisis America has faced in a generation, Republicans retreated to the partisan games and failed policies of the past eight years which cost them dearly in the last two elections. In turning their backs on the American people during a time of historic economic crisis to score cheap political points, Republicans in the House at worst may have committed political suicide and best proved their irrelevance to the process.
We need to fire 60% of Congress and flush the Kenyan from 1600 Pennsylvnaia Avenue, with his Cruella De Ville wife.
I wonder how long it will be until Obama and Rahm unleash the Black Panther / ACORN terrorist thugs to do some head bangin’ at the town hall meetings...you know it’s gonna happen the media is pushing it
No, we need to fire about 90 pct. of Congress, including all of the self-serving RINOs.
