DNC hammers Republican-backed 'mob rule' [calls anyone opposing Obamacare "rabid extremists"]
CNN - Political Ticker / DNC ^ | 2009-08-04

WASHINGTON (CNN) — The Democratic National Committee released a sharply-worded statement Tuesday accusing Republicans of colluding with "K Street Lobbyists" to incite "angry mobs" of extremists to disrupt health care town halls in congressional districts around the country.

Full statement as released by DNC spokesman Brad Woodhouse:

The Republicans and their allied groups – desperate after losing two consecutive elections and every major policy fight on Capitol Hill – are inciting angry mobs of a small number of rabid right wing extremists funded by K Street Lobbyists to disrupt thoughtful discussions about the future of health care in America taking place in Congressional Districts across the country.
...these mobs of extremists are not interested in having a thoughtful discussion about the issues – but like some Republican leaders have said – they are interested in ‘breaking’ the President and destroying his Presidency...
The right wing extremists’ use of things like devil horns on pictures of our elected officials, hanging members of Congress in effigy, breathlessly questioning the President's citizenship and the use of Nazi SS symbols and the like just shows how outside of the mainstream the Republican Party and their allies are...

Does the DNC consider ACORN and SEIU "angry mobs of extremists"?

The Democrats never did denounce the Code Pinko who shouted from the front row of the GOP convention during McCain’s acceptance speech.

Who the gods wish to destroy, they first make insane.

The quote is also translated from the ancient Greek as Who the gods wish to destroy, they first make proud, in the sense of insanely arrogant.

The Greeks had a word, hubris, to indicate a level of obnoxious arrogance that would cause the offender to be slapped down by the gods.

That needs to be spread far and wide. I hope Fox’s Hannity and Greta and Fox and Friends share this tidbit to the viewing public.

No discourse or “transparency” just name-calling because everyone isn’t kissing the ring of 0. Not how it works in the U.S.A., we were built by disagreements.

POT MEET KETTLE...

Woodhouse was most recently president of Americans United for Change, communications director for USAction, and listed as a press contact for Americans Against Escalation in Iraq.

Woodhouse’ Role in Managing the Anti-War Movement for the Democrats

In February, 2008 journalists Matt Taibbi analyzed how the MoveOn-led Americans Against Escalation in Iraq has become “a political tool for the Democrats — one operated from inside the Beltway and devoted primarily to targeting Republicans. ... At the forefront of the groups are [former MoveOn lobbyist] Tom Matzzie and Brad Woodhouse... [M]uch of the anti-war group’s leadership hails from a consulting firm called Hildebrand Tewes Consulting — whose partners Steve Hildebrand and Paul Tewes served as staffers for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. ... This is the kind of conflict of interest that would normally be an embarrassment in the activist community. ...

Woodhouse, “a Democratic operative from Raleigh,” North Carolina, is a former spokesman for U.S. Senator Jon Corzine at the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee[4] and “campaign press secretary for Erskine Bowles’ 2002 Senate campaign against Republican Sen. Elizabeth Dole.” He “also used to work for Congressman Bob Etheridge.”

The former spokesman for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, now the flack for Americans United to Protect Social Security, a group fighting the Bush Social Security plan, Woodhouse sent out 68 e-mails in March and 58 in April to the 3,000 journalists on his list.

Following the Bush reform plan, Woodhouse organized and became president of Amercans United For Change.

Woodhouse's group belong to a coalition of progressive organizations called Change America Now, many of which are located in the same building in Washington at 1825 K Street, N.W. The leaders of those organizations frequently meet with aides to Democratic congressional leadership, to discuss strategy and upcoming votes.

Exactly. It's not only that they didn't raise a peep but that in many cases passes were provided by Dem pols themselves.

As to claiming that all these protesters are funded and/or aligned with "K Street" is a flat out lie that is standard projection of the fact that the funding of their protests, at both the government and "activist" levels, is via you and me, the taxpayer (obvious poster child being ACORN).

The only one that is exciting angry mobs is King Obama. This turd is one of the most aggravating communists jackasses that is destroying America. And we are not in recovery, but going further down the river without a paddle.
