There's Red America, Blue America and Tinfoil Helmet America. And it looks like the third camp is enormously larger than anyone feared.
A new poll, commissioned by the liberal Web site Daily Kos found that fully 11% of Americans think that Barack Obama wasn't born in the United States. And another 12% said that they are unsure.
The doubters are heavily concentrated in the Republican Party, according to pollsters. An amazing 58% of the surveyed Republicans questioned whether Obama, in fact, entered the world in Hawaii.
What this means: Millions of Americans suspect or are convinced that Obama, son of a Kenyan father, is not a citizen and thus cannot legitimately serve as President. And no Hawaiian birth certificate or newspaper announcement from the time will convince them otherwise.
Who are these people? They're the ones whose feet are not planted on U.S. soil - or any soil.
Here we go again. Really racking up those dollars from Obama aren’t you.
Let me ask you one simple question.
It takes one sentence.
Answer me with one sentence.
Show me the legal definition that allows a natural born citizen to have one foreign citizen parent if born on US soil.
You said — Show me the legal definition that allows a natural born citizen to have one foreign citizen parent if born on US soil.

Show me one court who has removed Obama from being a candidate because of this...
Interesting concept. I wonder what you would find if you lifted DNA from one of his daughters (a school lunch milk carton or similar source) and compared it with DNA from his (alleged) half-brother in Kenya. That might help explain why his BC is Top Secret, Compartmented. It wouldn't answer the question on whether the lying socialist is actually a natural born US citizen, but it might explain one of the druggie's reasons for secrecy.
I would suspect that the political parties are responsible for vetting candidates since the forms from the parties state that their candidate is Constitutionally eligible for office. Pelosi signed them. Ah but wait, there are 2 posted on FR. Only ONE has the statement on Constitutional eligibility. Interesting, no?
The only ones “going around in circles” are those who can’t figure out that all it takes is a state law requiring a candidate to show his birth certificate... LOL...
“Hawaiian birth certificate “
What Hawaiian birth certificate? That one he put online? It’s a phoney even to an untrained eye. And do they really think a government was using the term “African” for race in 1961? Especially since at that time “African” meant “British” in most cases!
Yes there IS a ‘legal requirement’.
It’s called the CONSTITUTION!
READ IT!
It doesn’t say a candidate can show he’s a natural born citizen IF HE WANTS TOO!
It’s REQUIRED they be ‘natural born’!
And since it’s a required, then he must PROVE IT!
Each state specifies the requirement for placing a candidate on the ballot. The fact that no one has a requirement for a birth certificate is the problem that everyone is complaining about. Thus, the answer to that is to get a state law for that state placing a particular candidate on their state ballot.
The states control who goes on their ballot in their state...
DO NOT post to me again
How about 1 credible witness? How tough could it be for any American born in the 1960's to produce a statement from a doctor, nurse, or other reliable witness to their birth or first few weeks? You'd think witnesses would be coming out of the woodwork to clear the name of a local boy made President.
Too easy to forge. I want school transcripts etc. There's a list of things that he has hidden.

Exactly What IS a Natural Born Citizen?

And here’s the Constitution for you...., the *basics* of the Constitution on this issue...
And yes, there is a Constitution and here is what it says, in regards to qualifications. The Constitution says that a candidate must be the following in order to qualify for the office. The candidate must ...
*be* 35 years or older
*be* a resident 14 years or more
*be* a natural born citizen
And Obama has sworn under oath that he *is* (as the Constitution says he must *be*)...
It does not say what is necessary to show it, prove it or what any means for vetting is. Thats up to the states themselves to vet and make sure that the candidates meet the qualifications.
And what they have done is sworn an oath that they are qualified..., Obama has, the other candidates have and they have in the past...
And in addition the State of Hawaii says that he *is* exactly what the Constitution says he must *be*...
http://hawaii.gov/health/about/pr/2009/09-063.pdf
I, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, Director of the Hawaii State Department of Health, have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen. I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issued in October 2008 over eight months ago.
This shows that there is no Constitutional issue or question. So, when there is no Constitutional issue at problem here with the Qualifications for office, why would the Supreme Court get involved? Which is why they didnt get involved.

And if you want to get Obama to show his birth certificate, you’re going to have to get a state law to that effect, which is what I’ve been proposing since the election.

But aside from the birth certificate issue, there is plenty of political issues to deal with, in terms of conservatives opposing Marxist/liberal/leftist policies, legislation and agendas.
However, I still push for the state law to enact legislation to require a candidate to show his birth certificate or else he cannot be on the ballot in that state...
The citizenship of “our president’s” parents is one factor in meeting the constitutional requirement. British common law regarding natural born citizenship at the time of the Constitution’s drafting, required parents to be citizens of the country. Don has highlighted the disqualifying issue — which was posted on “our president’s” campaign web page, that he had British, then Kenyan, citizenship from his father.
A second factor is whether “our president” obtained American citizenship at the time of his birth. Others have noted that his mother, per the laws at the time of his birth, could not have imparted American citizenship. Only birth in the US states or territories would provide American citizenship at the time of his birth. Documentation, produced at the time of his birth, such as the “long form” with details of the site of his birth or concurrent hospital records, would document this.
The third and final factor would be if he ever renounced, either formally or by his actions, the American citizenship he may have from his birth. The adoption as a minor provided him a potential Indonesian citizenship, but this was not a voluntary action by “our president”. Records, now sealed by various government and private organizations, would document if “our president” renounced his birthright as an American by declaring he was a foreigner attending college or by using a foreign passport in his travels outside the US.
I proudly remain a “birther” and pray each day that this overlooking/abandoning the Constitution will not stand.
That puts them on the hook. Directly.
Well... someone said here — You are worse than a broken record, we KNOW THAT, doesn’t mean you give up in the mean time. DO NOT post to me again

This is the kind of *insanity* that has infected some people. It’s too bad, since all that is required to solve the problem of getting a birth certificate — is — simply a state law that requires a candidate to show his birth certificate or else he cannot be on the ballot.
And the *reason* why no one can get Obama to show his birth certificate is very simply — there is *no legal requirement* for any candidate to show their birth certificate...
O ran for president.
The burden is on him to prove he’s qualified.
That fact will never change or go away.
Nuff said.
Did the U.S. Constitution sail as well?
Do we live by the rule of law (the foundation of which is the Constitiution) or not?
All he has to do is demonstrate he is in compliance with the Constitution and the vast majority of us will accept it and move on.
But if he’s holding office based on fraud, that’s all the more reason to purge.
I dont remember quite this much hand wringing over the 9/11 conspiracies. As I recall, quite a few (predominantly Democrat) believe(d) in that one, and that one was an awful, terrible conspiracy to believe in. And while I am not a birther, I hardly call it a conspiracy, and it is no where near as bad as the 9/11 stuff.
