The presumption here is that Sarah Palin had somehow been driven from office, and was now an ineffectual.

Far from it. This is a woman who sees absolutely nothing wrong with hunting wolves from airplanes and helicopters.

Now that she is no longer shackled with the restrictions of having to serve as Governor, and still be a standing target, she is going to be up in that plane, and carrying appropriate weaponry at the ready.

This even works on rogue grizzlies.

Even the people on the right who dismiss Palin have no idea of her attraction among the conservative faithful. Only Reagan’s appeal exceeded Palin’s. And she’s only been on the public scene for a few years. I don’t know about 2012 for presidency (senate maybe, although obviously she’d be a tremendous improvement over the present dunce), but certainly 2016 might be her year.
