The 'Cap And Tax' Dead End by Sarah Palin
Washington Post ^ | July 14, 2009 | Sarah Palin

Posted on 07/14/2009 3:26:55 AM PDT by DB9

By Sarah Palin Tuesday, July 14, 2009 There is no shortage of threats to our economy. America's unemployment rate recently hit its highest mark in more than 25 years and is expected to continue climbing. Worries are widespread that even when the economy finally rebounds, the recovery won't bring jobs. Our nation's debt is unsustainable, and the federal government's reach into the private sector is unprecedented. Unfortunately, many in the national media would rather focus on the personality-driven political gossip of the day than on the gravity of these challenges.

Yep, while Mr. Ambition himself, Mitt Romney, supposedly likewise has credibility on business, where exactly has he been in the debate and in going after Obamaconomics?

Muted and measured and all holding back for the good of his next campaign is where he’s been. The irony of Palin’s opponents calling her a quitter is enormous.

Palin speaks with credibility and honor as there’s no doubt she’s speaking honestly to her core values. This is something these libtards can’t recognize, it’s completely foreign.

If Palin’s new role (at least short term) is to leverage the strength of her visibility and popularity to be the voice of the opposition party, she has the guts and integrity to do it right.

cap and trade is a huge benefit to Alaska and the pipeline.

Cap and Trade would be a total disaster for Alaska.

And Federal loan guarantees are like guarantees from Loan Sharks.

If she wants to be on the national stage then she should stop mentioning Alaska every time she talks.

At this moment she is the Governor of Alaska.

I was going to suggest you put that in your tagline, but,

big bold and blue is better, eh?

As is going to be the case from here on out.
There will be no substantive argument out of the left, concerning the concepts put forth.

In their arrogance, it is self-evident that they are superior, and that no one else need be given any consideration.

“devoid” -
I don’t think that word means what you think it means...

‘...Muted and measured...’ I think that’s precisely the problem. After getting more than one hard check into the boards, I don’t see anyone on the Conserviate or GOP ticket willing to really take off the gloves and fight.

If the GOP were to visit the local rental store they could pick up some useful things (a backbone, guts, etc.). Things that I think Mrs. Palin already owns.

And are they STILL wondering why she resigned as Gov of Alaska and what her future plans are?

“And if Zero wants to be on the international stage, he’s going to have to sing some song other than me,me,me,me.”

Thats what Marxists always do so why would he change.

While I like Sarah, Jesus is my God and the only one I follow blindly. If she wants to engage more independents then she needs to talk on a national basis, not just Alaska.

I live in Florida, I care more about Florida than I do Alaska.

One commenter especially cracked me up, because he was all up in arms that SP had posted this under her name and “obviously” hadn’t written it herself. He demanded that she get up and articulate her viewpoint to prove that she understood what was written.

Yeah, like the TELEPROMPTER boy king writes any of the stuff he “articulates”.

Agreed. I think she’s inherently loyal (see, ‘appreciation for McCain’) and has been conflicted ever since accepting the nomination while a sitting governor. But this is coming out while she’s still governor and she’s starting to speak from an area of perceived strength for herself and importance for Alaska. I hope and expect she will expand her repertoire after she steps down on the 26th, and then I wouldn’t mind if she’d give us a break from the Alaska references either.

I know, I know, if she were a Rat. she would be in favor of cap and tax, although a disaster for the national economy, since it benefits Alaska it must be supported. Typical Rat thinking.
Do the Pundits really think she lost any of her supporters by resigning?

American prosperity has always been driven by the steady supply of abundant, affordable energy.

This is pure Rush.

This is American Exceptionalism.

Palin puts it in early as a para lead.

To contrast herself with the America-loathing Marxist.

A puzzlement. Why would the WP actually publish the words of Gov. Palin instead of an unflattering picture with commentary that she should be at home wiping drool off the chin of the child she never should have allowed to see the light of day? Penitence? The MSM should stick to spewing its mindless hate and try to avoid these lapses of near-journalism.

Job losses are so certain under this new cap-and-tax plan that it includes a provision accommodating newly unemployed workers from the resulting dried-up energy sector, to the tune of $4.2 billion over eight years. So much for creating jobs.

GAH!!! STOP THE INSANITY!
