The Daily Kos has a post up quoting MSNBC personality David Shuster's Twitter page stating his show will be covering the controversy over Free Republic and comments about Malia Obama:
@mikelord @thejoshuablog. We will cover this monday: http://bit.ly/3pqS7M. But follow @joetrippi for what can be done on-line. about 2 hours ago from web
The embedded link goes to the Vancouver Sun hit piece posted earlier to FR
Over at Twitter, the leftists are all in a hypocritical lather over FR.
David Shuster is on sometime mid-afternoon East Coast time Monday-Friday.

It’s racist to compare what ugly dress Michelle is dragging around in to shower curtains and kitchen towels./s
Agreed. If nothing else they are tenacious and truly committed to their cause.
This is just one example of the lengths the left will resort to to further their anti-American agenda.
Their single pursuit is eliminate resistance under the banners of diversity and compassion for the environment.
Currently, their only remaining obstacles are religion, free speech, and private owership of weapons.
Same thing.
You may want it to mean something else but it doesn't. Best you make your children quit wearing it ~ you're sending them out on the streets to make enemies of perfect strangers for no cause at all.
I’ve never seen a 12 year FReeper get the ZOT. But that may change soon.
Apparently the “Jackie Kennedy” look isn’t for them.
Perhaps, but a lot of these idiotic racist comments probably come from leftists posing as FReepers. Because every legitimate FReeper knows and understands that there are 100s of thousands of hardworking, patriotic Black Americans across the nation, many honorably serving in our military.
Parents have the responsibility to teach their kids what the symbols mean. I believe that the 0bamas have taught Malia what that symbol means and the fact that she is wearing it on the same trip her father discussed reducing nuclear weapons with Russia cannot be taken a a coincidence unless you think the 0bamas are completely stupid about symbolism which, we know well, is the opposite of their demonstrated interests.
Just 'cause young, dumb kids wear something they think is "cool" is no reason to ignore the meaning of those symbols and just allow them to wear them in public, especially on official govt trips.
Ignorance is NOT an excuse. What if it were a swastika? Would your "cute, innocent" tolerance work then? After all, she didn't know about that old symbol, unless her parents told her about it...
Can’t handle an opposing viewpoint on something? Makes you appear very insecure, don’t you think?
Where? I’m not the most active poster but I certainly do read quite a bit here and I’ve seen no such examples.
If you make such a charge, you had better be able to back it up. A cute response (Obama-like, I might add) like “Pay attention, sweetheart” might make you feel good but it does absolutely nothing to prove your argument. I’d like to see a documented list of comments and posters to support this. I know that no such list exists; the mere fact that MSNBC is covering a pulled thread should make this plainly obvious. (Don’t be so naive as to think leftist trolls aren’t crawling this place daily looking for such things.)
So quickly you forget these things when you put your narrow agenda first.
So, quit tossing the race card. It doesn't work here.
What a great point!! Because a swastika is EXACTLY like a peace symbol.
Did you have fun constructing that beautiful strawman?

Not the thread but part of the aftermath...
See mojitojoe’s #559
I'll leave it to you to go through my 14,000 posts and determine if I'm insecure.
The most recent example I can think of besides Palin’s kids is Chief Justice Roberts’ kids.
These freakin people are unbelievable ......NOW, kids are off limits. But when people were laughing at a kid with Downs Syndrome, it was a-otay.
Maybe I should put my conspiratorial glasses on, and go looking for the negative.
some times, when the comments I question or think offensive, I check their sign up date - and its not unusual to find an ‘06 or higher sign up date.

GOD BLESS THE USA
Clara Lou, that sign has nothing whatsoever to do with “peace”.
Nope. If that were the case, the characters would be on their rears, just below their belts? LOL
