Still, even his explanations tend to end with a question mark, like this one earlier this year: I see absolutely no reason for Texas to leave. But if Washington continues to disregard the states and continues to try to force states to change the way that they govern, who knows what may happen?

AND those blades are made in China. No wonder they need replacing. Is fiberglass an oil based material?
Nah, but a bunch of us have recent and current experience participating in setting up one that is even harder to establish, so that will be beneficial. :)
Hooah!
Secession is the last resort...simply the threat may be effective enough.....
Nice try. YOU asserted to be owed, so the burden of proof is on you.

Then were is the incentive to resolve any area of disagreement? If you've walked away from the debt and the obligations and the responsibility and taken every piece of community property you could get your paws on then where does that leave the rest of us?
Why are you whining about being wronged? NO ONE is talking about walking away from a debt EXCEPT YOU. Why do you assume such a thing will occur? Why do you ASSUME you will be left 'holding the bag'? Why do you ASSUME the remaining states won't be compensated in some way?
That's right.... you're the master of creating a straw-man argument while simultaneously NOT addressing any other statements made EXCEPT your own.
It's like your in your own little world.

Ah yes, I keep forgetting. You're the one who says Congress has no authority outside D.C. aren't you?
See above.
Very much more of taking the Constitution and providing it an environment where it is given more than lip service; where it can thrive and guide as originally intended.
because we would rather leave it to those that deserve it....it's simply a gentlemanly and honest concern of honorable Texians.....
The difference is that American colonists were not represented in the English Parliament, so they had no say in whether or not to rack up the debt. Texans, on the other hand, elect Congressmen like any other State (and as one of the biggest State, Texas exerts more influence on the Federal budget than most States).
If you think Texan Congressmen (and Presidents) are any less guilty in racking up the national debt than others, you're living in a dream world.
I refuse to accept the concept that I am somehow responsible for the national debt..... I have paid my way for an entire life.....and have never accepted a dime of assistance nor a dime of SSI...nor a dime of anything from the feds...
I and my family live, eat, and breath because I provide....no gubmint agent ever came around here with a spare tit to feed my family....So as a Texian I respectfully request that you get the hell off my back because...I WILL BE FREE.....with or without your permission.....
As a citizen of a representative republic, at the end of the day you share responsibility with the rest of us for the actions of our elected representatives. All States love to put their noses in the Federal troughs. You may not have received money directly, but, like the rest of us, you have received the benefits of things like defense spending and the like. You can't simply wash your hands of that spending just because you don't like it.
So as a Texian I respectfully request that you get the hell off my back because...I WILL BE FREE.....with or without your permission.....
If Texas wants to go, it can go. But don't expect to be able to just dump your fair share of the national debt, since Texans helped create it, just like everyone else.
OK....So we will obey the rules of the fools....I know when I've been licked...................all over....

It is a march to marxist slavery not freedom. They want what is essentially a communist state.
I would hope for the same thing. However, it does not appear that those who wish to “control” will allow anyone to escape without MUCH resistance.
Fine with me....we have to have a place to dump the idiots too.....don't bringem to Texas......OK?
The fact is, many that never gave a thought to secession, are now actively engaged....
Actually, New England was very "states' rights" during the Jefferson administration (the Essex Junto) and the War of 1812 ("blue light" Federalists, the Hartford Convention).
Also many northern states invoked states' rights to combat the fugitive slave law.
Actually, whether one advocates federal or local supremacy seems to depend on whether one holds federal power.
Go to the head of the class.........power resides with the people....the powers not delegated stay with the state or the people....
And of course, Jefferson Davis, the "hero" of "states' righters," basically ran a centralized dictatorship in the Confederacy.
Once again, ideology seems predicated on where one's interests lie.
State your basis honorable Zionist....
Have we elected a 21st century ruler with questionable intent.....
If I’m not mistaken, Texas receives less from the fed than it gives.
That's true of all states that have no income tax. Most of the money that would go to state income taxes goes directly to Washington.
But Texas is usually close to the break-even point in spite of not having an income tax. So while the state does receive less than they send to Washington, its Representatives are able to swing an awful lot of spending to the state.
