Primary school children in Broadstairs were given an assembly about homosexuality in which they were played an Elton John song, sparking accusations they had been left "confused".

Children as young as four were among the pupils told about same sex relationships as part of the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia.

During the talk children at Bromstone Primary in Broadstairs, Kent, were played music by Elton John and told he was homosexual.

I'd ask "what is this world coming to" - except that I already know the answer to that question.

"Billy, you remember how Sean pulled your hair, and you screamed, but you're the one who got in trouble?"

"Yes, Dad."

"Well, this is similar. Your teachers were wrong then, and they're wrong now. People make mistakes, although they're supposed to try not to. The Bible tells us what's right, and your teachers are a little confused. We need to pray for your teachers and otherwise ignore what they say when they're wrong."

In a statement sent out to schools by the council education officer Lynne Miller said: "Young children are exposed at a very early age to homophobic language. Pupils may call each other 'gay' without really understanding what it means, but learn that it means something negative, useless, and not positive.

Good news. So there actually is some learning taking place at public schools today.

“Young children are exposed at a very early age to homophobic language. Pupils may call each other ‘gay’ without really understanding what it means, but learn that it means something negative, useless, and not positive...”

And? Hey listen, kids on the schoolground hear lots of swearing to, does this now mean that if a kid is talking out of turn, teachers should get in their faces and scream “shut the *&%$ up you little *&%$**&^ or I’ll kick your (*&%%$# ass! No, probably not. Not until they are third graders, at least...

I enjoy Elton John’s music, but no way should that or anything else be used to try to steer children towards certain sexual practices.

Turns out the British are having the same problems with their schools as we are here in the United States. Maybe our homeschooling movement can get in touch with theirs, which is far smaller.

You see me say a lot of good things about Muzzies here, but they do seem to understand the importance of a traditional family - something that the British (and many others) seem to have a lot of trouble figuring out.

And here all this time I thought to be gay was to be happy...now it's negative, useless and not positive?

Wonder what else in this Country they will seek to destroy next?

You are too kind. Their teachers are evil and have an agenda. I would tell them their teachers are wrong and they don’t have to respect or believe what they say on the matter. These fool educrats are going to shoot themselves in the foot. Unfortunately for them, the kids will probably get the idea into their heads that they don’t have to respect or believe anything their teachers say about anything (might be problematic when high-stakes testing rears its ugly head). Believing what their teachers say about homosexuality will cause “cognizant dissonance”if parents and their churches present homosexuality as something that is wrong and their teachers present it as something that is normal and wonderful.

But by then, parents will probably have decided on other educational options.

Thanks for the ping.

And if folks don’t think these chickens will come here to roost, they best open their eyes.

I believe in some cases it is child abuse to not homeschool your children or work to have them in private school... but then that’s just me.

Gemma Martin, 28, whose daughter Chloe, seven, and Danny, four, are both pupils, went on: “It’s meant a number of girls are worried about being friends with each other.

“Little girls often cuddle each other if one of them is crying or has fallen over, and now they are afraid to do that in case the others think they are gay.

Which goes to show that kids inherently know that homosexuality is wrong and that for it to be accepted, brainwashing has to occur.

For all the brainwashing that's been going on, the teens I hear talking still think it's wrong.

I never liked him although my sister LOVED his music.

It was obvious then that he was gay.

I really don’t know much about homeschooling in England, but I’m beginning to wonder if it’s going to start growing. All you need is that kind of dissatisfaction with the schools.
