The murder over the weekend of Dr. George Tiller, one of a handful of physicians who performed late-term abortion, is an absolute tragedy. As Kristen wrote yesterday, many are in mourning and angry over this disgusting and hate-filled act.
This was an act of political aggression against a doctor who helped people who were in absolutely desperate circumstances:
Anti-choice activists often cast late-term abortions as the murder of a viable baby at the whim of a woman who doesn't wish to be inconvenienced, carried out by a doctor who looks at her and sees only cartoon dollar signs. They're egged on by relatively mainstream figures like Bill O'Reilly, who declared that Dr. Tiller "destroys fetuses for just about any reason right up until the birth date for $5,000." Such misinformation and outright lies about procedures that are in fact rare and only performed when medically necessary are what led anti-choice activists to call Tiller "America's Doctor of Death," and accuse him of running a "murder mill." The reality of what Dr. Tiller did, however -- helping women in absolutely desperate circumstances, when almost no one else would -- is what led one woman who had to terminate a wanted pregnancy because of a terrible late-term diagnosis to call the doctor and staff at his Women's Health Center "our heaven when we were living in hell."
This was a man who was treating patients in dire need of help. His cold-blooded murder for what looks like political and religious reasons is revolting. The justifications for his murder by the repugnant Randall Terry and the swill that is Free Republic are a stark reminder that the Americanized version of the Taliban are alive and well.

Conservatives roundly denounce murder for any reason.
But oddly, there are no cries from the left that we "must seek to understand what drives a person to this level of violence" or pleas to "show respect" to anti-abortion advocates so we might avoid this in the future, or my personal favorite leftist response to terrorism: "Maybe we deserved it."

There is a very short waiting list for deparately deformed babies and babies with catastrophic illnesses. It takes a VERY special parent but I’m certain that they could have beconme parents in far less time then 3 years. Older children as well, healthy and not, are also readily available right away. And foster care is deparate- lots of opportunities.

Whether it’s a murdered baby or a murdered soldier...or a frail old man fighting cancer, if their usefulness does not help expand the power of the State/Big Brother, then they are all equally expendible.
I heard on Laura Ingraham today there were only three such devils in the entire nation who would do what Tiller the killer was doing, now only two...........

You have to ask what kind of “church” would take this POS in as a member. In my opinion is that the “pastor” and congretation is no better in Gods Eyes than Hitler, Stalin Hussein etc is. I will not feel sorry for them nor waste my prayers on such a satan worshiping group!!
I could understand “rare’ circumstances if the mother was going to die right then and there..but 60,000 “rare’ circumstances.???? hardly.
Also, most doctors know that there are very very very few..if any—circumstances that warrant this proceedure.
BTW..I went to the comments on that article and it was surprising to see lots of Pro-life comments from people who said they were basically liberal, but pro life. THAT was heartening!
No, this was a man who was helping himself to peoples money by killing the living results of people with no birth control and no self control. And he was killed by another nut with the same "high moral standard" that Tiller exhibited.

There are liberal churches and then there are real churches. He belonged to the former.
The story will be about how the disadvantages in live drove the "poor guy" (AKA a terrorist) to become a Muslim (IE not being prom king in HS, being spanked as a kid, ect), and how discrimination caused him to attack the soldiers, and how the soldiers "had it coming" for supporting Bush's war, and how the guns us law abiding citizens own are responsible for the killing, and that enforcing immigration rules drive people to kill, ect, ect....
