My Predictions:

1) NATIONAL DEBT - I fear the debt will continue to grow unchecked. This will have to lead to high inflation and devaluation of the dollar.
2)INFLATION - I expect to see inflation much worse than Carter-era. Maybe 100% per year.
3) SHOW TRIALS - I'm not sure if the Democrats have the stomach for what show trials might bring. If they go through with it I expect to see bloodshed. (Democrat blood)
4) AUTHORITARIAN REGIMES - Agree
5) ECONOMIC CONTROL - I think the financial and business people are quickly finding out what a mistake they made supporting 0bama. Once the full impact of what has been done with Chrysler and GM becomes clear, they will fight back any way they can.
6) HEALTH CARE - I only see tinkering with Health Care for now. Other parts of the Administration's agenda are starting to meet resistance and that should slow down everything.
7) CENSORSHIP - The government may be able to impose some new rules and restrictions, but I don't think they can actually silence a large part of the population.
8) GUN CONTROL - This is a really dangerous area. If the government REALLY pushes this there will be bloodshed. This could be a trigger for wide scale armed conflict. I know if anyone comes for my guns they better bring a lot of guys, a lot of ammo, and a lot of body bags.
9) VOTE FRAUD - Agreed.
10) ILLEGAL ALIEN AMNESTY - I think as the economy gets worse this will become a much harder sell to the American people. If 15% or 20% of Americans are unemployed they will not be happy with adding another 10 - 20 million people to the workforce.

I would like to add number 11.

11) BIG WAR IN THE MIDDLE EAST - Israel is going to attack Iran soon. No matter what he says or does, 0bama is powerless to stop it. This will, of course, drag in the US and much of Europe. There will probably be nuclear weapons used. Oil from the Gulf will be disrupted for months if not years. There will be terrorist attacks in the US homeland and in Europe. It will be a very bad time for all.

Sorry, but that is how I see it.

I would just say get tools an skills while you can.

If the bottom drops out, a man with skills and tools will perform work.

Its hard to dig a ditch without tools, and it is even more difficult to make a wage without skills

If reason prevails, you will be right. Unfortunately, I no longer have much faith in most of the American people.

10) ILLEGAL ALIEN AMNESTY - we'll have it by 2012.

IF your 10 events are correct here is number 11

When I was 15 and fearless, I did lots of outrageous stuff on a Honda CB175. Hill climbs, flat track, street racing. One day I spotted a particularly steep dirt path. It was about 25 feet from bottom to top. I hit it at 60 MPH. I was airborne for a significant period, then landed hard and flat. My engine stalled from the impact. I nearly smashed my face into the handlebars. I looked back to the edge of the hill. There was about 80 feet of untouched grass. It was as if the bike had been lowered from a helicopter. Suffice to say, it was nothing nearly as radical as what happens in that YouTube video, but much more than I ever expected from that little bike.

At 52, I'm a bunch more cautious. My bikes are oriented to grinding up and down steep mountain trails at a slow pace, or zooming down the highway with a big heavy bike and a windshield to keep the bugs off. I would love to play with some of the hot MX bikes, but they aren't practical for my needs. Dual sports for off-road/on-road with great local gas mileage. A big V twin for longer range travel with good economy.

On a “brighter” note, doesnt someone have to benefit from the federal govt becoming 99% of the U.S. economy?

I figure that by 2012 the D.C. area should be rolling in money. Two-income federal worker families should be doing fine—that is, till it becomes obvious that abandoning the Bush/Cheney approach to national security was a grievous error.

There are lots of cool places in the western U.S. to ride. I'll probably do that first. My wife wants to take another trip to Wales to fill in some of her family history in the Pembroke area. We've done a fairly thorough job on my family around Llanfihangel y Creuddyn. A bike trip in Wales would be a nice variation from our usual car trips.

I’ll still get the AR-15 in the future. I’m just being gentle with my wife’s feelings. We’ve been happily married for 30 years so we give and take. She will get something she wants in return for me getting the AR-15.

As for the Wolf ammo, I haven’t actually tried it because I have also heard it is dirty. The last ammo I used in my S&W model 1911 .45 was Winchester White Box and I didn’t like it much - I only shot 50 rounds and it seemed dirty and smoky. I will probably sell or trade the rest of it.

In 2012 there will be very few cars with 0bama bumper stickers.

In 2012 they'll be mandatory.

It aint that smokey.

Its just that case tolerance thats an issue.

Put a brass bore brush on a drill and swab out that chamber and even that wont be an issue

dirty on a recoil operated semi auto(ie .45acp) really means nothing. you clean it when your done shooting.

in a gas operated semi auto, though you could crud up your gas cylinder/piston and that is an issue....

I suppose this could be the reality if we all are willing to give up. As the future is yet to be determined, wouldn’t it be better if we were to fight to take back our country and control our destiny?
