Is there any liberal policy that can’t be predicted by asking “What would Satan do?”

I think someone has a crush on Meghan. Why do we keep seeing articles from/about her?
To: rabscuttle385
Just brilliant, Meghan. That’ll bring the Republican party roaring back to power in the WH and Congress. All we need to do is pander to gays in NY, that state whose electoral votes Republicans can always count on. Why didn’t we all think of that?

I honestly wish that the GOP would introduce their own bills in each state allowing for Civil Unions that give all the same rights/protections as marriage, but isn't marriage.
We'd be taking the initiative to bring equality AND everyone would see that many gay activists don't want equal protection/rights, they want that word - marriage.
But, once Civil Union laws are on the books and done, it would be a lot harder to push for the word they want when they already have everything else.
Then we could be done with this issue except for a few radicals.

It is not about freedom. It is not about equality. It is not about fairness. It is about pretending that homosexuality is normal.

Simply consider the source. Poor Meghan doesn’t speak with too much wisdom....or logic.

Meggers sort of typifies the problem right now. The GOP is interested in courting popularity, not in demonstrating leadership. Popularity demands one capitulate to the particular wind blowing at a given moment in time. Leadership is founded on principles that dictate the right course, no matter how howling the wind may be.
It’s how America - and the GOP - have triumphed in the past and why they are floundering now.

... recent advances of marriage equality ...Wherein the nature of billions of years of mating rituals, pair bonding, genetic exchange, survival instincts, and the heterosexual design of life are now equivalent to test tubes, surrogate mothers, state enforced adoption, leather chaps and buttsecks.

No matter how politically charged the discussions about marriage equality may get, the question is really a simple one: Do the rights and privileges we offer citizens include everyone in our country, or only some of us?

Homosexuality is a perversion, against natural law and hurtful to those who practice it and dangerous for our society. The debate needs to get shifted back to these points, they are free to practice their behavior in the privacy of their own homes but it is perverse and it is time to push it back into the dark. I think itwould be wonderful for middle America to really see the heinous lifestyle of gay men.

I’d rather read Piper Palin’s opinions on matters of public policy. They’re likely to be more cogent and less vapid. Heck, so are Trigg’s.

Dough Girl's triple-threat hypocrisy skills on display here: She's not a lesbian, so she has limited gay marriage authority. She's not from NY, so opinion on what works there is worthless. She's not a Republican, and her Dad's political career has no more upside. So its anyone’s guess as to whether her advice to Republicans has any sincerity.

The last poll I saw showed Gay Marriage having the support of the majority of white New Yorkers, with Hispanics opposed by a slim margin, and blacks opposed by a large margin. I don’t see the GOP in New York picking up traction on either side of the issue.

she is just parroting what her father was saying.
she is a democrat not a republican.
There is no reason to support any party that would support her.
