When I was a deputy sheriff I honestly made every attempt to NOT destroy or damage my uniform. Came out of my pay etc .......even when duty related. Thus when and if , all the tact ,diplomacy, peaceful submission skills and chemicals etc didn’t bare fruit I got my moneys worth. Made sure they remembered being ugly when they got a clue later.

One reason I left the job. Never “lost” a fight. but couldn’t tell by looks at times. Just wasn’t worth fighting anymore. I had issues with such trash and was going to get in trouble. Walked away.....

I don't think we can assume the PD is responsible for the funny face. It is very common for men who are drunk enough to pee on a bar, often fall on on their faces, repeatedly. Some times they even violently throw their ribs against the officers fist in a rage.

While riding in the back of the patrol car handcuffed the arresting officer was force to brake had to avoid hitting a small child that was sleep walking and had crossed into the street. It was apparent that the sudden deceleration had caused the suspects head to impact the lexan spit shield rather violently.
