“This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.” — Article VI, Clause 2

I have lived in Mexico, and I know the country well. I would not live there without a weapon. And there are millions of Mexicans who feel the same way.

don’t know who else saw the joint news conference from mexico late this pm, but; obama was put on the spot with a pointed question about his not re-instituting the assault weapons ban. his answer was that it was not legislatively possible , right now, to renew the ban. however, he said that there was an immediate opportunity to pass ballistic matching legislation in congress. i’m sure most of you remember this from past experience. bottom line? it legislates ammunition manufacturers out of business. so in very lawyerly fashion, we are not denied our rights to own guns as guaranteed, congress just puts “reasonable safety provisions” on ammo; ones that effectively cannot be met when combined with statutory fines for violations. i searched for a trnscript and so far have not been able to locate one. here we go again.

These idiot stateist bureaucrats give me a freggin headache ... how can you keep records on something which is ILLEGAL (i.e. illicit weapons) in the first place !!!!!!!!!!!
This is just like saying Illegal Aliens are law abiding citizens.
However, there is one truly ominous statement in the treaty:

"... due to the harmful effects of these activities on the security of each state ..."

Yep, the state, not the people come first for them.

this has to be approved by the house and senate.

To take effect, this treaty would have to be ratified by two-thirds of the Senate; the House would have no official role. How many Senate Republicans would vote for this Obamanation?

>Wouldn’t you agree?

Oh, I do agree. But is a right contingent on whether or not the action is a want or a need?

Don't worry about it. If it is a post, copy the url and post it, as a reply to this comment. If it is a comment, put cursor on the number of the comment, right click, and select "copy link location", then post that "link location as a reply to this comment. I did that to your comment. Here's what I got: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2231086/posts?page=41#41

I'd like to see what he has to say. Thanks.

Agreed, good post. I too feel we are already past the point where we will be able to vote or talk our way out of this mess.

>>Anyone else get the feeling that Alex Jones isn’t paranoid *enough*?<<

Ummm, I am starting to feel that way and I really hate to admit it.

On the plus side Blue Helmets are more visible and the people wearing them will be illegally occupying troops on sovereign soil.

iirc, an unconstitutional treaty is not valid...

under our constitutional gubment... so elected entities vowing to uphold our constitutional rights who try to usurp those rights... should be tried in a court and jailed.

I live in Mexifornia and I wouldn’t live here without a weapon either. Unfortunately for most in liberal counties, CCWs are hard to get.

So it doesn't matter that the arguments (sic) presented by these snake-charmers contradict one another. The crowd sways and swoons as they're swindled without a rational thought passing through their brains.

The dumbing down of education has certainly helped the left.

Treaty Law is the Constitution's original Trojan Horse, embedded from the beginning.

JR, is it time to repost the article under a different title?
